I purchased this after reading that it was color-safe and it has proven to be after two washes so far! I had ombre'd tips of blonde that I wanted to dye on a whim to make my hair more uniform, but I still wanted a pop of color. So now my ends are teal, and the blue toned haven't faded into green yet.

I've used Olaplex's shampoo before for toning my blonde hair to silver and it smelled amazing and did a great job. As a secret ginger, my hair waa very orangish yellow initially. The salon that bleached my hair also used and recommended this to remove all the brassiness! It's just a little pricier than other options out there. This one also has a citrusy scent and I love how my hair feels after using it. I'm even considering getting the conditioner to go with it now!

For some more info, I have thick Asian hair, I'm a secret ginger, and my blonde tips were never dyed before this, after professional bleaching session 2 years prior.

My hair got damaged after colouring and began to break off at the ends. Olaplex definitely helped with breakage and maintain healthy appearance, however it takes more than a shampoo. I bought 5 of their products to use as a system. They work very well together. I don't believe in miracles though. As soon as i stop using Olaplex, hair goes back to its miserable state. Nothing can cure the damage. Olaplex is the maintenance system so that hair can look decent until damage grows off.

2 Month Update: Reduced by one star, because it still works like magic for split ends. BUT the amount of shedding I've had lately is alarming. With thin hair already, losing this much hair is not okay. I read reviews about shedding before I used it, so I was only washing with a tiny amount 2x/week. Went down to once a week and just had my hair oily and up the rest of the week. It also stopped cleaning my hair as well as it did at first. I'm back to oily hair by the second day. My plan is to stop using it unless I notice split ends, use it once like a treatment, and wait until I see split ends again. I'm hoping the shedding will stop. I will update again in a couple months. Disappointing that it's not a weekly option after spending so much money. But it did repair the bonds like a charm.

Original Review: My hair was a disaster. Thin and fine; long to lower back. Been growing it for years and struggling with enormous split ends. Split ends on other split ends! Tangled so easily I'd have to stop and brush it out while blow drying. No chance of running my fingers through my hair without tangling at the ends. Split ends immediately after a good trim. Hair gets oily by the end of the day after shampooing. No chance of skipping a single day washing or it's just gross looking. Couldn't find a decent shampoo/conditioner. Too cheap usually to buy something like this, but the reviews won me over. OMG IT'S AMAZING. After one shampoo + condition it's very clean, can only see a couple split ends, it's light and bouncy, and I can run my fingers through it like a dream. I actually never officially brushed my hair today - just combed through with fingers and it looks perfect. So worth the money! I'm never using anything else. (Update: Didn't have to wash my hair again until day 3 and it was still clean!!)

This is the best shampoo I've ever used. My hair is fine and straight when wet but when left to air dry it goes frizzy and wavy. When I dry and straighten it, often within an hour or even less, it will go frizzy and develop kinks. Particularly on damp or windy days. Even running straighteners over it again does not always fix it. I've used this shampoo a few times and my hair instantly feels shiny and soft. It looks thick and sleek when straightened and stays the same all day. No frizz! I'm amazed. I just hope it lasts as my hair tends to get used to good shampoos and the positive results wear off over time. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen with this one!
