I bought this product because I ran out of my Purology purple shampoo, which I used often as a regular shampoo. The fist thing I noticed was the deep purple color of it. I knew this was going to be different and boy was it. I left it on for 2 minutes and the result was a subtle toning effect. The second time is used it I left it on longer: maybe 5 minutes. My hair highlights looked fresh out of the salon. It even toned my roots which are dark with sprinkles of gray. I love this product.

I love this shampoo. I bought it because my blonde hair would get so brassy between hair appointments. My hair stylest always uses a toner which makes it look a lot better. She keeps telling me to get purple shampoo. I researched and decided to buy Olaplex due to the good reviews and it absolutely was worth the price tag! The toner in it is the exact same affect as the toner my hairdresser uses. I go back next week and usually by now my hair is almost yellow. This time it is as pretty as it was my last visit, minus the dark roots and dead ends. :).

However, this is not a moisturizing shampoo. I have thick, curly hair so have to buy another shampoo that is geared towards my hair type. So I alternate this shampoo with that one. This means I use Olaplex about once per week.

I spend a lot of money on my hair because of the texture, length and thickness. Olaplex lives up to my high expectations!

I have been lightening my hair over the last 4 years and recently (maybe due to the sun?) it looks yellow after about 4 washes. Maybe it’s the toner not being permanent I don’t know, not a stylist.
I’ve used Olaplex for years and love it so thought I’d finally give this shampoo a try.

Not only is it HIGHLY pigmented but it’s a thin/watery formula. A little goes a long way!
I washed my hair as usual then did a wash with this product and it completely stained my hands that it took 4 washes with a scrub to remove it. It was on my hair for no more that 90 seconds as it was my first use I wanted to see what the effects were before leaving on for the recommended time.
After rinsing, conditioner and then leave in conditioner I was shocked at how beautifully soft and manageable my hair was. It removed all the brassiness and left my hair feeling amazing. I will continue my regimen of only using this shampoo twice per month as I only put treatment’s in twice per month as I feel my hair isn’t dry or damaged (even with the lightening by my stylist) it even left me feeling like it doesn’t need hydration/moisture/repair treatments. I use function of beauty shampoo and conditioner once per week and alternate with Olaplex.
Whenever I do use this in the future I’ll definitely use no3 and no5 to maintain my length, colour and strength of my hair. Not only does it smell amazing but it’s a different scent to the rest of the Olaplex line and I love that.

Cannot recommend enough as it’s amazing. Buyer beware though use gloves so you don’t stain your hands and remove from skin around your hairline as soon as you can.
