Back to back babies had me looking for good NA beverages beyond juice and soda! Even in my everyday life, alcohol can give me headaches so quickly… My husband and I are both fairly intense foodies in wine and restaurants industry- so it is important to find good alternatives.In my opinion, this works best almost as you would use vermouth or bitters. For example, today I made a mocktail with 70% homemade gewürztraminer juice 29% grapefruit sparkling water and 1% Seedlip - in other words, just a splash. It actually does add a lot of depth, complexity and interest and I am very glad to have tried it.As some mention, it does have a unusual flavor and I would not recommend just pouring this over ice, as you would with many spirits. Ultimately it would sort of taste like flavored water. Add just a splash to flavored spa water or a can of le croix and it does step it up.I really like having this as a tool in my kitchen and I would be really interested in their other flavors. I don’t love it and, for the price, I’m hesitant to buy more. I wish they had an $30-$40 sample set of smaller bottles. At $40 each, it’s just too much to not know if I’ll use it….

I bought two bottles of the Seedlip so I could have a non-alcoholic option for the holidays. My daughter who is pregnant, loved it! It was versatile and botanical and made great drinks and in her opinion, it is one of the better options for mocktails. Some stuff is just bubbly water and sugary flavor but not Seedlip. You feel like you are drinking a fine cocktail and you don't miss the alcohol. Pricey but considering what you would pay for alcohol it is comparable and with the no alcohol, its a win win.

It's dry January, so I *really* wanted to like this. It arrived, I sipped it. I took a shot. I tried it with tonic, I tried it with soda. It may be distilled and include very interesting ingredients, but it's not flavorful at all. Imagine Angostura bitters, but diluted about 90%--or a big glass of water with a small lemon wedge. I'm not exaggerating, and I'm usually a supertaster. Very disappointing, although if you're not a drinker, I suppose it would make you feel a bit more social than a bottle of evian.

If you're looking at this, just go find yourself some non-alcoholic bitters of some kind, and you'll be happier.

Unrelated, I was simmering some cinnamon sticks in water to make the house smell nice after cooking some onions. I kept refilling the water as it evaporated, and simmered/boiled it for about 2 hrs. I had the idea to save the dark cinnamon water. Turns out that cinnamon gets a bit bitter when boiled. My cinnamon water was *far* more flavorful and useful as a mixer with some tonic and/or soda. So for the rest of January, I'll be experimenting with tap water + combinations from the spice cabinet, in lieu of this.

You're far, far better off saving your $40 and buying an herb or two. Trust me.

I ordered this as a gin replacement, but it doesn't taste like gin, or any other alcohol I could name. It tastes like water with an interesting blend of autumnal spices. I've tried Ritual non alcoholic gin replacement before, and was impressed at how they made it thicker than water, and with a bit of a burn like alcohol.

This Seedlip stuff is much more watery, and the spices, while interesting, aren't very good on their own and don't mix well in most cocktails I tried. Very bad with tonic water. The only cocktail I found that it went well in was an espresso martini, but I had to use a bit of kahlua for that one, so it wasn't truly non alcoholic, which is most of the point.

I wish I'd tried the Garden 108 Seedlip, which looks a little closer to gin flavor? This doesn't taste good and isn't good in most cocktails.

I am very glad there are non alcoholic options, though, and encourage the company to keep trying various flavor combinations.

In trying to reduce vodka drinking I looked for alternatives that still had a taste sensation and wasn't overpowered by the mixer. Straight vodka has no true flavor in mixers so its a tough ask. This has a spice flavor that comes through ensuring you can tell the difference between regular mixer and the addition of Seedlip Spice 94.

I think its a bit expensive for a 750ml bottle, priced as high as mid level to upper vodkas. But it definitely is a great solution to use to reduce alcohol intake.

I filled a high end vodka bottle with this and had it on bar. A few persons used this for their drinks and none had any idea it was alcohol free. Two people said it had a nice taste and said they'd like to order. At that time I did have to tell them what was in the bottle. They were very surprised. So I vote for it.

I do love the flavor, there’s just not enough of it. Even straight, the taste seems overly subtle, even diluted. So adding ginger beer/ale or anything else overwhelms the taste of this expensive product. It is entirely possible that my palate is not delicate enough to appreciate the very subtle experience of this spirit. Since I have more than half of the bottle left, I will continue to try mixes to try to satisfy my palate. It was worth a shot, so to speak.

I’ve drunk another non alcoholic gin by this company and really liked it, so when I spied the offer Amazon had on Seedlip gins I decided to treat myself and purchased two flavours I hadn’t tried, opened this one on Easter Sunday for myself and one of our guests and we both really enjoyed it - plenty of ice, slice of lime and Fevertree regular Tonic, great.
