Bottom line: judging from the frosting with sugar overload- I am afraid most recipes especially the frosting might be way too sweet, so you might have to play around with ingredients and hope for best!
11/29/2019 Ok. So I totally forgot that the book states on the front cover that it’s “nutritious, delicious recipes for everyday baking.” This book is NOT all that nutritious considering Mich used normal table sugar and all purpose flour not honey/maple or almond/coconut type flours. For example- the only reason why the pumpkin cupcakes were considered healthy and nutritious to her was because it included pumpkin purée, which is part of your daily dose of veggies from what she is saying. But the whole recipe aside from that is just normal unhealthy ingredients such as table sugar and all purpose flour, regular full fat cream cheese, and eggs. I’m glancing through the whole book and this is like a normal non-healthy super fattening cookbook that I would NEVER consider nutritious.. Just saying. Just in case someone bought this thinking, “Yay! Healthy recipes!” No. No it’s not. Anyhow- it doesn’t matter to me as long as it’s good and for the most part accurate in measurement. Lol.

Healthy ingredients but still contain a fair bit of sugar which for me is fine.
I made the pumpkin and carrot bars, purely because I had a tin of pureed pumpkin in the back of the cupboard which I bought ages ago for another recipe and a few carrots that needed using. It came out a lovely light sponge, moist cake. I added a few cashews to mine. Lovely. Didn't get around to icing it!
Great for afternoon tea.

Some lovely recipes and lots of tips, Mich tells you how long they will keep which is very useful. I have made the Iron Bars which were very easy and delicious - can't wait to make lots more out of the book.
