    I found it pretty easy to set up this indoor camera. It needs a power supply, so you need to have a plug nearby. It's not made for the outdoors.The built-in speaker works well. That allows you to have two way conversations. You could put this in a child's room and monitor what he's doing, for example.Lastly, you might be able to put this outside if it is covered from the rain. That way visitors can announce who they are and you can talk to them through the camera. Again, you will need to supply it power.

    Less than one month after the June 2020 firmware and app "upgrade", both indoor cameras stopped recording. I still get the annoying notifications, but nothing gets recorded. If you try to go to the Storage tab, you get an error. All you can do now is watch live (when it wants to work), which is not what we got the cameras for. I tried removing and reinstalling the cameras from the app, which reset them to factory config, still not working after that step. Removed the app from the phone, reinstalled and configured everything again, flood cameras work, indoor cameras do not.

    Spent almost $500 on Swann hardware (two flood cameras and the two indoor cameras) and was actually considering their NVR. Then we all had to force “upgrade” to the Swann Security App as part of the June 2020 migration. I was happily using the “Safe by Swann” app before, it had its limitations, but it was functional. After installing the new app, the indoor cameras became unusable. Good thing I did not spent even more money on Swann products.

    Swann created the new firmware and pushed it to the cameras, along with a new, bad app. What did we get? Disconnects, speeding videos, cannot see live video, no button to direct download videos, clicking on a notification takes me to ... Live video? Where are the modes? Many other things that worked in the old app and are not working or even available in the new app.

    If you are considering any Swann security product, good luck… After my experience, I would not recommend it.

    P.S. Check the Swann Security App reviews for iOS and Android. You can have the best hardware in the world if the software is bad. The new app looks like Amateur Hour.

    I am very disappointed with the SWANN cameras I purchased (doorbell, 360 camera & standalone indoor). I thought being from a company is the US known for security they would be higher quality but none of the cameras will stay connected which defeats the purpose, especially for a doorbell camera. I liked I didn't need a subscription and could use the app to view the camera but even within site of the camera it still struggles to connect and I ALSO purchased 2 wi-fi extenders to make sure there would be a strong enough signal. I haven't decided what I am going to do about it but my next purchase won't be Swann.

    Really good for this price point. Sadly, the range isn’t that great and often buffers for long periods when attempting to watch live. Very sensitive, regardless of which setting you choose, (sensitive as in when clouds part it sets off the motion sensors).
    Also would be great to have a timer setting for Home and Away so one wouldn’t have to manually switch every day. But again, overall, satisfied. This is our second purchase of these.

    The camera was a pain to set up. If your not used to changing settings on router then avoid this camera. Once you manage to get it connected. It keeps freezing when trying to view its livestream.
