From the Manufacturer
Lock and load, soldier! There's a war going on and Battlefield 2 is going to drop you right into the middle of a 21st century shoot-out! The good news is that you have a team of grunts at your side to help you survive the frenzied close-quarters combat. The bad news is that you have to engage the enemy on their home turf, at the world's most dangerous hot spots. You'll need to unleash the fury of an awesome high-tech arsenal that includes laser-guided bombs, heat-seeking missiles, and much more in order to survive. You have all the tools you need to get the job done--Abrams tanks, F-15 Strike Eagles, Wasp Class assault carriers, you name it. Hit the enemy with everything you've got. This is no minor skirmish--this is all-out war with all the high-tech firepower you can muster.

The helicopters seem now to be based on a true rotary type aircraft and they slowed them way down. So now it seems more and more people can keep them in the air.. The harrier type jet is also a blast.
Laser Guided bombs and heat seeking missles are just another wow factor. This of course is just from playing the demo. I pre-ordered this months and months ago..
The only kicker with BF2 is your video card, they list only certain types as minimum requirements, so you may have to upgrade. It's a beast of a game and for some reason my Intel AGP 3Ghz system out performs my extreme amd 64 3700+ system with BF2.. Just some food for thought..
The only thing I would change is probably the vehicles and their damage/power issues. We all know the M1 Abrams cannot be destroyed as easy as it is in BF2. I know they were thinking in fairness with tanks against tanks.. But I would prefer them not to equally match tanks vs tanks but to have advantages of one over the other.
I have been a major Counter-Strike player and with over 200 hours clocked in on Counter-Strike: Source, I don't think I will be playing that anytime soon. I am hooked on BF2 and I have played all the BF games including the Desert Combat Mod.
I do believe that EA/DICE should give some more credit to Trauma Studios for their work on Desert Combat. Because without that awesome AWESOME mod, there probably would be no BF2. They pretty much made this mod and it kicked so much @#$ that EA was able to use it for free as a marketing anaylsis tool. So if your video card can't play BF2 yet, keep on keeping on with Desert Combat..
The only bad thing with these BF series games, is the idiot TK'ers that kill you when you are closer to a vehicle or aircraft. Because they want it or worse when your in it and they attach C4 to your vehicle to take you out..
Lastly, please vote that my review was helpful to you. I don't have much going on for me and just the fact that I am asking you to vote shows how much of an identity I need to establish for my own self-esteem. I really want to be "someone" and I would like to be a top 1000 reviewer on this site, it would mean a lot to me. So could you take a second and vote that this review was helpful. Thank you so very much, I will send good thoughts out to you and your family and if you see me online I will let you shoot me over and over and build up your score, I PROMISE, just send me a message first, my handles are samkochel974 and SammyK74. Thanks so very much!!!
