A modern corporation's work opening doors to other dimensions has had the unintended consequence of making our world vulnerable to demons from beyond. In Persona, a role-playing game set in the contemporary age of cities and AK-47s rather than one of castles and broadswords, a group of teenagers is working to stop the havoc brought by the invading demons. Your characters gain experience for fighting, but they also gain by not fighting; talking your way out of battle adds to your ability to use magic, which adds to your assets when the gloves really have to come off.

This game isn't much to look at after playing persona 4 & 5. However, its still fascinating to go back and see where it started. In comparison, it is a pretty rough experience. They enemy conversation system was pretty unique at the time, but also seems very confusing and random as to what results you get. You can also expect a lot of grindy dungeon crawling.
They graphics are not bad for the time, but the quality varies. The is some nice isometric-style battle art, mixed with decent 3D first-person hallways of dungeon crawling, and a far more crude 3D overworld view. The soundtrack is nothing particularly special, but for the most part it matches the mood of the game well.
If you like tough, old-school RPGs this will be right up your alley. Even then I might recommend playing with a walkthrough.
I am not happy with this game simply because is defective. This is the third time i have complained about this matter but i've been ignored cuz anybody have not replied me yet. The game is defective and i asked for my money back. This guy "alphonse 221" or whatever is not reliable. Not a good thing to sell other people defective merchandise. I really want this game for my collection and i ended up buying it again and more expensive. It is on its way right and hopefully this copy won't be defective. I feel frustrated firstable for not receiving my game in good conditions and, in second place, for being ignored. Don't do that people. I'm a good customer of yours cuz i'm always buying from you and is a pity if i decide not to buy from you anymore because you don't even care how am i feeling about this. I'm still waiting for an answer??????????

So, you have an RPG set in modern time, where everyone can cast spells, more or less efficiently. The game IS 5 party members RPG adventure, and is much closer, in my opinion, to original Bard's Tale or Eye of Beholder than to Final Fantasy VII or Xenogears.
The engine itself is quite original. You collect spell cards by talking to monsters and summon divine/devilish helpers. Not everyone can 'use' every helper, since characters have inclination to tarot arcanas that helpers belong to.
Characters also use both medeival weapon and firearms, but they differ in that also: some can score multiple hits w swords, while others shoot both bow and gun. Some prefer uzis, some machine guns and so on.
I just finished game and must say that I'd never get Ultimate Personas without reading FAQ, and they are a MUST to take out Pandora II.
A word of warning: Use Leviathan and Halo and don't discard em. Get Mark an axe and put him in forntline. Be careful in dialogues, read them from FAQ or there is no more that 40 hours play in Persona. Write down spells and usage, keep a playing diary and maybe even write down script . Why? It's simple, you often need 5 hours betw. savepoints so you...ok me, played Persona once a week.
Yes, I had to make the Persona joke.. But in all honesty the shipping was fast, the booklet and case are in awesome condition and I'm pretty satisfied. The disk is a little more...iffy than I expected, not scratches that you can catch with your finger nails but there is still that factor that when put in the light, subtle circles of scratches are around the disk. But this all factors into how long ago this game came out and for the price that I payed, I am well more than just delighted. This should be an awesome addition to my presents for my boyfriend this year for Christmas. Thanks guys :P
Despite being an old psx game it was worth tracking down and playing, the game has multiple routes you can take and is definitely not short either, i'd recommend it to anyone who's a fan of the series.
I got my copy of Revelations Persona, but it's defective, as you can see in the video, the label is torn, and my PS3 can't read it. I got this because I wanted to experience the ORIGINAL Persona, not the PSP remake, but I suppose I'm stuck with the PSP version. :(
