Now, it is clear that Alma's psychic influence survived- and worse, she is about to birth something that could destroy the world. Fettel has returned from death with an unclear agenda, refusing to leave Point Man's side and asking for help to reach Alma. The remaining F.E.A.R. squad is still trying to complete their mission. Gameplay
As with the previous two releases in the F.E.A.R. Franchise, F.E.A.R. 3 is a FPS with Horror gameplay. Players experience action both from perspective of Paxton Fettel - resurrected from the headshot he received in the previous game - and his brother Point Man, who was the trigger man. Since Fettel was indeed killed in the earlier encounter, his presence in the game is almost ghostlike, with he relying on a devastating range of telekinetic powers, including the ability to possess the bodies of the living in order to perform certain physical tasks. Point Man on the other hand is quite corporal and is a super soldier with expertise in a wide range of weaponry. He also has loyalties to the AI F.E.A.R. Operatives that populate the game. The problem with this is that the operative's goal is to eliminate the growing power of Alma, the mother of both Point Man and Paxton Fettel. Because of this layers will face choices that will pit duty against family loyalties. Both characters have access to mech units encountered throughout the game.
F.E.A.R. 3 also features an impressive range of multiplayer options. The first of these is a co-op mode that allows one player to take on the powers of Fettel, while the other assumes those of Point Man as they work together during an uneasy truce. An additional multiplayer mode is available that tests your ability to work together under stress and constant fire to get your squad from point A to point B as a unit.

The campaign was awesome, the story was really good definitly had the best story out of the F.E.A.R. games, and the cutscenes were really well done and very interesting to watch. The games main character is the same guy you played as in the first F.E.A.R . You play as point man and you have your brother with you thats haunting you the whole game. Single player is really fun as point man and as Fettel the gameplay is even better because he has a very unique style of gameplay, as fettel you can posses the enemies and when your done you make them explode which is always fun. The campaign didn't have as many scary encounters as the previous 2 but still had some awesome ones.
The co op is super awesome since one person plays as point man and the other is Fettel so its two different styles of gameplay. The story has 2 different endings whoever does better throughout the game will change the ending. And having a Danzig song in the credits was definitley a bonus.
I haven't played too much of the online but from what I have played it was totally fun. But I don't have too much to say about the online.
So yes I would totally recommend this game especially if you are a fan of F.E.A.R, First Person Shooters, Great Co op games, or even just scary games.
4 player Game modes with Co-op with Split screen.
Omg what else could you ask for. This game rocks.
The graphics are great the game play is great.
Both soldiers are very well balanced and is alot of fun to play either.
I had to drag my wife to play with me and she was hooked right away.
we went to lvl 3 and time just flew. It was 2 am and we cant wait to play again tonight.
Gameplay visuals - 4 out of 5. I only reserve 5 out of 5 for games like Bioshock where I'm literally blown away the whole time. But the game is pretty neat. The bullet time works better than the first two. Its scary at times, and there will be moments where you might jump a little bit, but its no Silent Hill. There is alot of good gore, but it is realistic and not over the top. The first 2 games had a tendency to over-do it a little when you'd shoot someone point blank with a shotgun they'd just explode into pieces. This game is better about it not being too stupid.
Gameplay action - 3 out of 5 - I really did enjoy this. I'm a big shooter fan and have been a avid COD player so when I get a game that is out of the war genre, but still a true shooter I'm all for it. I was disappointed with the few enemies you face. However, if you played the first 2 you already know..soldiers and maybe a supernatural enemy or two. They had some really cool super fast zombie type enemies VERY similar to the ones you face in Condemned 2. I hated that they just suddenly disappeared after awhile. Not to spoil it but there is only one other enemy that isn't human. They did, however, throw in some super soldiers with some cool abilities so definitely better than the last game. I'm a little bummed that the ending wasn't harder. It was pretty uneventful and almost incidental to the entire story. It wasn't even really the point until the last interval...
Guns, Melees, Powers - 2 out of 5 - This is where I found the game really disappointing. There were maybe 6 guns in the whole game (I guess 7 if you count the occasional rocket launcher). For almost HALF the freakin game you are stuck with a SMG that takes 2 clips to kill an enemy. You do get to level up in this which is nice so take advantage of beating the challenges. It increases your bullet time, health, and clip size. The melee attacks aren't as fluid as COD, but they are a little bit more realistic in that they stagger and fall back some. The really good guns you don't get until the last half of the game. The biggest pain is that every time you start a new level, you start from scratch with a crappy handgun and a clip or two. The only power you get is bullet time, which is the best part of the game really (again I haven't played as the other brother yet so I'm fairly certain he has abilities).
Story 5 out of 5 - I really enjoyed this story better. They did a great job of tying all the other games together and explaining some very different perspectives on all the characters. They even make Alma more sympathetic...and the villain of the story isn't who you'd exepect. There is also an alternate ending I'm dying to see. If you play the story on co-op there are factors that determine which ending you get, however on solo mode its based on what character you play as. The cinemas are great, not too many and visually they look fantastic. Overall a much better story. I hate to compare this game to Condemned again, but it is very very similar, and just like that game got better in the second than the first, FEAR 3 is better than both 1 and 2 and the FEAR Files add on. When I say the ending was weak...it isn't, just getting to it is. THe final boss sequence is retarded and contrived. Its been done about a thousand times before and I hate that they went that route. I wont say more than that, but just know that it was an unoriginal way to get to a very cool cinema of the real ending...
Overall, $13 you can't go wrong. Buy it for yourself and a friend and you can enjoy coop mode as well!
Btw idk why my name says unimpressed? I was impressed!!!
