I have never ever written a bad review before but I’m just shocked by the level of unprofessionalism of the customer support. I have been lucky enough to receive a faulty unit. It turns itself off automatically from overheating after around 40 minutes of use, followed but a strong burning odor. I’m 176lbs and use the machine for power-walks not running which should be more than fine given the treadmill’s specs. I contacted GYMAX twice via Amazon, the first time the customer support said it was normal for that to happen, the second time they completely ignored my extensive email describing the issue and offered me a $30 refund to keep the faulty machine. I have had the unit for less than a month. So, I get $30 to keep a faulty treadmill and it supposedly has 1 year manufacturer’s warranty. I just request a full refund and will challenge any charges from now on just to make a point that that’s not how you treat customers. I understand that issues happen all the time but customer support should work with me on fixing the issue and not completely dismiss my concerns.

It’s super cute, sleek, folds up beautifully, wheels on the bottom allow it to roll on harder surfaces when folded. As soon as I got it, I ran 2 miles on it and it is shockingly sturdy. It is by no means the sturdiness of a gyms quality treadmill, but this is home use, it’s perfect. The Bluetooth speaker connected easily. Honestly I love it. I can’t recommend it enough!

So this works as expected when my wife uses it, but I'm 195lbs and the belt doesn't seem to handle my weight well. Every step I take the belt stalls slightly then catches back up to speed. I don't know if this is related to the belt tightness or the motor not being powerful enough.

This equipment couldn't have arrived at a better time. I spent a lot of time searching for a treadmill and I finally decided to go with GYMAX Folding Treadmill. Let's be honest this is not a professional machine so for those who are looking for a piece of professional equipment try another brand. In my search, I was looking for size (not just to fit in my home but for my own performance) cause I'm tall and that will affect my strides. This machine had the most length provide by machine in this group of equipment. I was also looking for speed - which is offers, as well as shock absorption and this does to some degree ( as long as you are below 210lbs) any weight over that the belt may run slower due to the weight impact but if you increase the speed that does tend to alleviate that problem.

I sprained my ankle 6 months ago and I anticipated a covid lockdown by the end of the year. Altho it's been a difficult 2020 with some stuff open up and gyms in Canada barely opened I had put on 22 extra pounds than expected. I order the GYMAX Folding Treadmill to try and shed a few pounds a week before Christmas and it arrived on Christmas Eve earlier than expected. Unpacked it and it was ready to go. Simple instruction on getting the equipment started and I began using it the very next day, Christmas. I've since lost 7 pounds by using the equipment for 45 to 60 minutes per day through diet, vigorous walking, and core building exercise.

If you have a small space this machine is perfect. It is not quiet but then again it has a strong motor. One floor below I can hear the machine slightly. The LED screen is great but I don't think that the calculations during my workout are accurate. I think calories, distance, and steps are already preset for general activities. For example, if I use the 5km preset and I push myself no matter what ... it still remains at 5km at the end of 60 minutes when in fact I think I did more than 5km. However, this doesn't matter if you have a Fitbit or Samsung Health app which you can pair with your workout. My only concern is lubing the belt I wish they had provided more lube (only 2 small bottles) and the application is difficult to get to underneath the belt.

If you just want to be active during this long covid winter this is a great machine to have. Remember a machine is only as good as you are when using it. But so far from a performance perspective, it has done the job.

I received this treadmill about 6 weeks ago and so far have been satisfied with it. It comes fully assembled. I purchased a protection plan as I was not sure of the warranty for Canada.
It is not too heavy and it maneuvers easily with 4 sets of wheels. It folds and stacks against a wall, so it does not take a lot of room. That's a great feature.
I'm 5'6", and the treadmill feels just right for me in terms of size, but it might be too small for a much taller and heavier individual. I use the treadmill to run 30 minutes 4 times a week, and so far have not seen the belt shift or slide. I don't know how accurate the KM readings are, but I suspect they are off approximately .2 per 5 minutes. The step counter appears accurate. The blue tooth music player works very well. There are four minor cons to this treadmill:
There is no pause button, so when you run you can't pause for a second and resume your run. If you press stop, the time, distance and steps reset to 0.
The manual is a bad translation from chinese and hard to understand.
The red knobs to lower the columns for storage are hard to operate at times.
The plug in cable is very short. I use an extension cord.

It is like advertised. For me the belt width (16.5) is a little narrow, and I need to hold the handles while walking above 5km/h. For my wife it's just fine. We walk about 1/2 hour a day each and we like it especially when the temperature outside is below -10 C. I think I must find some more silicon lubricant because we use it 1 h /day and I think it takes a monthly lubrication renewal at that pace. Good purchase!

I have bought a treadmill from amazon before and had to return it when it malfunctioned and started to smoke so I decided to go with this one, My wife and I don't run we only walk and at slow speeds as we are in our 70's. This one worked fine at first and then one day within 1 minute of being on it the machine sped up and slowed down on it's own. I had a friend look at it and we took the picure of the motor that says .88HP when this is advertised as 2.25HP. We let the machine rest and tried again it was fine for a few seconds and then it sped up on it's own again and my wife fell. We have put in a request for a return and refund. Is this a case of false advertising?
