I have been using the 15.6” Acer Swift 5 for the past 3 years with no issues. I thought I was upgrading with this purchase but it’s awful.
- The keyboard is so low profile it’s hard to type.
- The trackpad is clunky just like the Swift 5 - I was hoping they improved it. But unlike my swift 5 this trackpad looks worn out and greasy after using it for 1 week (nothing gets the shine back).
- The worst part of this laptop is what is supposed to be the best part, the screen. After 3 weeks of use my screen completely shattered for no explainable reason other than the lid of this laptop is as strong as a piece of tin foil. Be warned - Acer does not cover this under warranty. You can mail it to them and pay $900 to fix it. I suspect they will eventually have to acknowledge this defect and offer a cheaper solution. Thankfully my AMEX covered this so I could buy a better laptop. Hope this helps :-)
