About this ebook

Will life ever return to normal?

That’s the question everyone in the O’Connell family has asked since their lives were turned upside down by a murder charge. With their father now back from the dead, the O’Connells are coming to grips with the idea that justice isn’t equal. But despite the pending arrival of a new grandchild, and the fact that the family is settling into a new identity, trouble seems to always be one step away. This time, it could come from within, as a shadowy new enemy has found its way into the close-knit family and could ultimately destroy the bond the siblings share, forcing them to finally cut their losses and walk away from one another.

Wow. Marcus and Charlotte are having a baby. Luke brings his girlfriend, Rosemary, to meet the family which doesn't go too well. Marcus might lose his job when the council votes this time. All hell breaks loose when the family is told just who Rosemary is related to. Kate and Jack are having problems. A bad car accident. The parents come home for a visit. This book is full of O'Connell drama and I loved it of course. The whole series is fantastic.

In this latest installment of the O’Connell family, once again, this talented author gives us a story that is filled with family dynamics, as well as very thought provoking moments. Raymond, the father, is back with the family, though with a different identity. Marcus is still dealing with the city council, Charlotte’s pregnancy has moments of uncertainties that will keep you on the edge of your seat, and Brady is still finding his place in the family. Add to that, what happens when the family meets the woman Luke brings home? Not only was the story engaging, and the characters complex, reminding us that life is not black and white , but rather shades of gray, the author also brings up another important issue. That of homelessness. Not only as individuals but also as a society and a nation, we need to do more for these individuals. Who are we to judge them? One never knows what has brought them to that point. A situation that could easily occur to any of us. Kudos to the author for that reminder. This is another winner in this series. Leaving the reader wondering what else is in store for this family. I was entrusted a copy of this book . The opinions expressed are solely my own.
