I just discovered Ms. Eckhart's addictive writing this month, thru a free ebook alert service I subscribe to. After reading that book, I was hooked. I have since read several of her books, and signed up for her newsletter. I received a free copy of this book from the author for an honest review. This was another book in the Friessen Family series, featuring Jed and Diana Friessen. Since I was first introduced to Jed and Diana's relationship in Fallen Hero, I've loved his protectiveness of Diana and the way he fights against being overbearing, which is sometimes hard for all the Friessen men; Jed's brothers Brad and Neil; his father Rodney and his cousin Andy. This story revolves around the disruption to Jed and Diana's family life with their sons, Danny 5 and Christopher 3. Someone responsible for all the turmoil in Diana's childhood is back, and the question is why? This person may also contribute to a current physical threat to Andy's wife as well as Diana. The male Friessens circle the wagons and do what they do best; protect their family, no matter what.
