Good Read, but the characters are very frustrating and unreal. Emily can't stand up for her self and is always on the verge of tears or super anxious, and the only times she does stand up for her self are super out of character and she doesn't think about the full picture. how can a person be so caring and trusting yet when she needs to trust Brant, she never does and when she should be suspicious she is blinded by her trust. doesn't make sense. Brant is shown as this decisive stong caring character, yet when it comes to Emily he doesn't even call her back? that doesn't make sense. The characters don't show and growth. I read the book but I kept getting frustrated and the main characters seemed to contradict themselves and cause so many unnecessary problems. I think the Crystal part took over the book. I would like to see more of Emily, Brant, Katy and Trevor moments, and character development over time. The relationship between them is the reason I wanted to read the book.
