    Premium Grade Aluminum

Premium grade aluminum molded into clear lines and discreet curves form a chassis with a unique compact shape. The convex design is paired with a hovering effect that blends perfectly well into any environment.

    Dual Frame Design

Designed for ITX Motherboards, the striking key component of the interior is the Dual Frame Design for easy access and quick installation. The inner chamber, equipped with enough space for high-end components, slides into the housing via a ball bearing runner design.

    Compact Versatility

Despite the compact ITX form factor, the Portal provides a versatile scope. Designed as a chassis for Home Theater PCs, it surpasses limitations by further serving as an office system or gaming rig, supporting the latest high-end components from a 300mm graphics card to a 2.5” and two 3.5” hard drives.

    Intelligent Cooling Solution

To cool the built-in hardware, the portal is equipped with air inlets at all four corners and the bottom of the housing. The air-permeable inner chamber is further equipped with included 120mm intake and 80mm exhaust fan, for a stable airflow for basic Office and Home Theater PCs.

    Water Cooling Support

Supporting high-end hardware components, enthusiasts and gamers utilizing the Portal will need to maximize cooling. To further enhance the cooling capabilities of the Portal, the 120mm intake fan shall be swapped for a 120mm radiator in combination with a AIO or custom water cooling solutions.

    Finishing Touch

The optional top window gives the portal a final edge. With the inverted Motherboard tray, the view will be clear on the latest RBG-lit Graphic Cards. The black or white coating gives the Premium Grade Aluminum a smooth touch.

This case looks so much better in person. The footprint is smaller than a midtower but larger than a traditional mini itx case. It is sleek and smooth all around and you can really feel the quality in the metal unibody frame. The sliding rail is a great feature locking all the important pieces inside suspended away from the walls. I wanted a case that my brother could easily bring over when he visits each summer. The design and materials means transportation is worry free of bumps and dings. The top window will house an RGB 1070 which is much needed to really highlight the only window. You do have to be careful in selecting your internals such as an SFX psu and an AIO 120 cooler but the tradoff is worth it in the end result. It looks small and cute but feels solid and secure. The portal and storm trooper cues open up some great design options as well. Will add pics once the build is complete but overall i'm glad Bitfenix isn't afraid to leabe the comfort of the trendy norms to give consumors more creative freedom. Look at every other new case... plastic...tempered glass rectangle boxes.

Finally built PC after a long time of my purchase of this case and boy, i don't know where to start.

First of all, for a first timer, you're going to spend hours, while doing a simple cable management, and believe me, it really needs a good cable management.

The cooling is so horrible that you need to somehow make enough free space for air to circulate around it, otherwise, it becomes a small microwave for all of your parts. The strange thing, which i found is that engineer/s made a nice filter on all four corners, for air circulation and cooling, but then they put another wide layer of metal with tiny holes after these filter, so the air doesn't enter normally inside the case. Sort of the same thing is constructed in the PSU area. When you put the PSU with a fan faced down, you see that the main carcass, which holds all parts has holes under PSU, but then there is a wide rail road, which makes some difficulties for the air to escape. The fun thing about it is that they made holes underneath the case, but, as there's a rail road, the air doesn't come out straight from the mentioned holes. The back of the case begs for two 80mm fans instead of either one 80mm or two 40mm fans. I've replaced OEM fans, which come with a case and even with industrial Noctua fans, put an AIO water cooler on CPU, and it's still not enough, so i'm seriously considering about modding this case. To let you see the whole picture, i'll list all of the parts, which i use in this case.

Video Card: MSI RX 580 Armor MK2
    RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V series 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200
    CPU: Ryzen 1700X 3.4Ghz
    PSU: SilverStone SX800-LTI 800W, SFX-L, 80 Plus Platinum
    Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 ITX
    Radiator: DeepoCool Captain 120EX White
Storage: Seagate 2.5 2TB FireCuda and HP EX920 M.2 NVMe
Fans: Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-3000 PWM and NF-A8 PWM

The main concern is not the CPU and RAM, but instead motherboard's VRMs, GPU and possibly PSU. When you try to play some heavy games, VRMs stay on 80 and slowly crawl to 90, while GPU stays on 80-89 without dropping or getting higher. Now, i know that all ITX cases have trouble with cooling things, but the thing is, the size of the case is not so small if you can put AIO water cooler and put GPU without any riser extender inside of it.

A fun, interesting case. Not hard to build in. Used a cooler master 120mm AIO, with a BeQuiet! fan, and a Corsair Sfx psu. The computer is basically inaudible during normal use.

This small case is absolutely incredible. Very easy to work with, very good looking and polished. As far as what you can build in this, you could build a very powerful machine, but the airflow for anything that powerful is just not there. This is much better suited for a medium to low power machine to run sliently.

We don't like to build standard type case computers. You can make the inside almost anything you want but what you have to look at every day is the case. This case gives you plenty of room to build what you want and if you get the version with the window on top you can still build some ARGB lighting effects on the inside.

UPDATE- After building the only word for this case is "Nightmare". The pieces go together OK but then you slide the interior back in and the fun begins. The wires from the case are so long and they have nowhere to go so they either get caught in the front 120mm fan or are stressed to the point the connections are severed. Finished the build and pushed the power button, and the first time ever in several years of building - NOTHING! Apparently in routing the wires the power button became disconnected at the case end. Took everything apart and repaired that, finally getting the unit to post. Next issue was the CPU temps. At idle couldn't get them below 50°C even with the supplied fans running at 85% speed.

    SOLUTION
Replaced the front 120mm fan with a Noctua 120mm Industrial (can run at 3000 rpm) and replaced the single 80mm back fine with "gerry rigging" two 80mm Noctua fans. Changed all the PWM fan curves to start immediately and progressively run faster sooner. Changed the GPU's fans to run at lower temp. Finally went into the bios and changed the CPU voltage (i9 processor rated at 125 watts) so it ran at a maximum 90 watts. Finally got idle temps down to 35° to 39°. Acceptable I know but we normally like our gaming units to idle at 30° to 34° to leave plenty of room for performance.

Bottom line only tackle this case as a general computer that will not be stressed because it will overheat at full-out gaming unless you do the modifications similar to what we did.

It has poor ventilation, and mini-ITX builds are already very hot. Cable management is a pain.
I would recommend that you stay away from this case unless you want to mod it, or REALLY need the looks of this case.
The one nice thing is that you can run it with the mobo tray slide open a bit for 20C temp difference.

    + I/O Kabelstränge lang genug

    Eingebaut:
    - XEON 1230V3
    - AsRock Z97E-ITX/ac
    - ARCTIC Liquid Freezer 120 (Breiter Radiator !
