The Usb Flash drive is paper thin

The Usb Flash drive is paper thin
I haven't had any major issues with windows 10 the main issue I have with the product I bought. I bought the windows 10 USB Flash drive because I built a pc without a optical drive since everything I do is digital. The usb you get is a joke its almost paper thin and feels like it would snap or bend with the slightest pressure which is a shame since i payed $40 more for the usb version over the disc version. I could've bought the cd and put it on a more sturdy flash drive for less then what I payed for basically a paper usb . Silly me I know bought I honestly thought I would get a quality usb drive
Thank you for your feedback

Ok first off I am a long time Linux user. I have used Linux exclusively for over 15 years. Linux will most likely remain my main productivity OS for my creative endeavors why? Ubuntu Studio packages so much great free open source software that as a creative person I have used for so long I have gotten used to it and love it as an OS for doing music/digital/video editing and processing the software is free so I don't have to spend tons of money for my creativity aside from my music equipment that I so chose to buy. That being said I did a very recent custom PC build and I have to say MICROSOFT! You finally did it you made an awesome operating system for the desktop that is a great experience for browsing the web, multimedia and yes GAMING the most awesome thing about it. Liquid smooth seamless PC gaming at its finest using Steam. I game at 1080p on a 65w i7 7700, Asus Z270 with 16GB Corsair DDR 4 2400, Samsung 960 Evo M.2 and a Humble Zotac GTX 1050 Ti mini. Sweet goodness I benched this thing using UserBenchMark and received a 124% UFO score for Desktop. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The USB installation is a snap. It is so nice having bleeding edge hardware on a very very stable bleeding edge OS. I still love my Ubuntu Studio though and nothing is going to change that! The PC platform is the ultimate multimedia platform especially when you throw Windows 10 in your systems configuration mix. Keep up the great work Microsoft. Windows 10 USB edition was worth every single penny! Its blazing fast, its smooth its stable and the interface is gorgeous!

Installed flawlessly as Windows PRO, kept all programs and files unharmed, by viewing files on USB, then clicking on the setup.exe file. It took a while for the monitor to display that it was installing Windows 10. Be patient. This was on a Lenovo IdeaCentre B305, 6 RAM, 2.7, that began with Win 7 Home Premium. It refused to install the free online WIN 10 update. Various other professionals looked at this too, and after all efforts concluded only a full install from disk would work. I did however successfully use a new WIN 8 PRO CD to install WIN 8, intending to update that to WIN 8.1 and try updating that to WIN 10. The WIN 8 PRO install went well though did require solving three system software incompatibility issues. It would not however update to WIN 8.1. The OS got into a loop installing updates that failed, then reverting to the pre-update state. That took more than 4 hours during which the computer was useless. Every day the process would take control of the computer making it useless for more than 4 hours. I could not stop it with the Control Panel settings for controlling updates. I got control of the automatic updates but adding 3 new lines to the registry to stop auto updates, auto restart, etc.

From the product description of this item, I expected a clean install of WIN 10 Home leaving only the operating system on the computer with no other software or files. Instructions with this USB said to boot the computer from the USB. While this computer was set to boot first from removable drive, it wold not boot from this (maybe any) USB. Note that the USB I received is labeled "Widows 10 Home/ Pro." After three failed attempts to boot from the USB, I opened to view files on it, then clicked on setup.exe. I got the result I described above. Windows 10 Pro installed leaving all my programs and files intact and ready to use.

*** This is not advice regarding how to install this software. This is not advice regarding what results you will receive. This is what I did and what happened, with my specific situation.

My new computer is up and running x 1 day now. This Windows 10 Home on USB flash drive works well enough. I'm coming from a Mac and decided to get a PC for the upcoming VR headsets. Never built a PC until now and this was also my first time installing an OS. Process was simple enough, plug the USB drive (cheapest USB drive I've ever seen, feels like they used the aluminum off a soda can to make this thing) into your USB port, turn on the computer and go straight to BIOS. From there you'll see this USB drive along with your other storage listed under Boot Drives. Just pick this on the list and it does the rest.
I did run into one issue, about 15 mins into the Windows install Windows will say it has to reboot the system. When it rebooted my Dell monitor went straight to power save mode (as if it wasn't getting a signal output from the PC). I didn't know what was going on and didn't want to turn off the PC thinking maybe it was installing. Left the computer on, went to grab lunch for an hour and came back and screen was still off. At this point I hit the power switch on the PC, when I turned it back on I was a the Windows login screen. I read lots of reviews on here about people being prompted throughout the installation process and ways to turn off privacy concerns during this process, in essence I missed out the whole thing. I've toyed around in settings to turn off some of the privacy stuff that don't sound kosher but not sure if I'm missing anything.

All in all though, this review is for this particular product and what can I say it worked even for a novice user like me. Last Windows I used was Windows 7 btw. This entire Windows 10 interface is still alien to me.

I was rather sceptical, despite reading the reviews of others, however the product key was delivered within thirty minutes and worked fine. I chose this seller as the reviews reflected a hassle free product key with first time delivery, I wasn't disappointed, it was worth the extra £6.

5.0 out of 5 stars buena opcion por si tienes que formatear en el futuro
Reviewed in Mexico on November 3, 2017
