EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 - GREAT for Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and light gaming at max settings! (1440p)
EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2I have 2 main systems for editing and gaming. I film, record and produce advertisements, menu's, photo's, etc in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects software, RAW at 4K. My home/personal PC that this 1080 Ti SC2 is in includes the following...Asus Strix Z270-E motherboardIntel 7700K processor at 5Ghz32GB G.Skill TridentZ 3466Mhz C16 RAMSamsung 850 Evo 1TB SATA III Boot/OS/ProgramsSamsung 960 Evo 1TB NVME media/cacheARECA 1222 RAID controller with 8x Samsung 500GB 7200RPM HDD's in RAID 6 for game/misc filesTwin 4TB spinners in RAID 1 for work/project mass storageTwin Acer B276HUL 27" 1440P 60Hz with PIP, dual input, and pass-through outputCorsair HX850i PSUCorsair H100i AIO coolerEVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2This card replaced an MSI Armor+ OC GTX 1070 with 8GB VRAM. I did not need it, i wanted it, mostly to max out games at 60FPS, and also to upgrade my work/tv gaming system, which is a 7 year old i7 980X at 4Ghz, 24GB 1600Mhz RAM, Asus Rampage III Extreme, 850 Evo 500GB, twin 2TB spinners, and an LG 24" 1080P screen. The 1070 allows max settings at 1080P60, the 1080 Ti max settings at 1440P60 in either system.Next year, i will be upgrading to a 14 Core i9, 4K G-Sync 144Hz display (whenever they come out), and this 1080 Ti is basically for that build. The 7700K system will become my office/light work/light gaming/server.TL;DRIncredible performance, low temps, low noise, haven't gotten a solid overclock just yet, but fast enough out of the box.Pro'sNothing better for Adobe hardware CUDA accelerationFAST and overkill for 1440P, so should be good for 1-2 yearsRGB LED can be set to match temps, like the rest of my system fans, which on a 12 hour render is nice to be able to check at a glancePlethora of connection optionsQUIET and runs cool2 slot, not 2.5 slotLooks AWESOME and locked at 60Hz on a 4K Samsung HDR maxed out (mild/low AA)Con'sPricey, but if you want it, you want it.Overclocking attempts, though mild, have thus far netted very little extra performanceNot many waterblock options, but i stick with a Corsair H100i AIO and air for graphicsFor MOST games, at 1440P, the GTX 1070 was locked at 60FPS, so perhaps considera 1070 or GTX 1080

5.0 out of 5 stars Muy buen producto
Reviewed in Mexico on July 23, 2018
