Im 23 and I think this is such a cute game. When I got my first DS I was gifted Nintendo Dogs Dalmatians and Friends and have love them since. (I still play it here and there to) So I was excited to see they had this for the switch. However, I was hoping it would have more activities for your pets. They only have disc competitions. I wish they would have left agility (especially since it's more fun and I do it in real life, so that's my bias) and obedience competitions. There are a couple breeds of pups and kitties to choose from but I do wish they added a couple more breeds. I think if they had added more breeds and more types of competitions that would have also made the game worth more of its price. I do think it is slightly over priced for what it is. I think if the game was like $40 with taxes brand new that would be more of a fair price instead of $60 not even including taxes. Hopefully they will make dlcs that could include more breeds and different competition for your puppy or kitty to attend I know I would forsure hop on that, but that could easily end up like a sims situation lol. So I do think the game is worth it but if you could buy used in good condition or wait for a sale I would do that instead of paying full price.

My 9 yr old loves it & it was easy for her to learn how to use it & she is addicted to it. She does get up & gets a little exercise as she has to play with the dog’s throwing them balls & frisbees so arm action is involved. It also teaches responsibility as she has to take care of the pets or she loses them. This was a very good present.

My daughter tried to play this a few times and said it was too hard to figure out. Shes 7 and very smart. We will continue to try and see if it ever clicks or becomes easier to play, but after the first few attempts she got bored and gave up for a while. She said it also didn’t seem to “save” the spot she was on so when she came back the animal wasn’t in the same spot etc.
I will update review if I learn more. This review is based on my 7yo daughter 😂

Cons: too hard for younger kids to figure out. Not super user friendly.
