4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 2,044 ratings

In a world filled with danger, heartbreak, and impossible choices, the blood sisters must navigate through the darkness to find love, redemption, and a chance at survival.

Anna has found solace and love in the colorful Romany camp. How long will this last under the watchful eye of a spurned and obsessed Nazi?

In the unrelenting grimness of Ravensbrück, Moriah is caught in the web of Dagna's deadly ambition and schemes. Her chances for survival diminish with every passing moment.

Shunned by society for the telling scar on her face, Elica struggles to live with the consequences of her selfish choices. Will she ever find love, redemption, or her son Theo, again?

In Mussolini's Italy, Mateo and Aria shower young Theo with love and affection. But love is a weakness in the fascist regime.

When Forever Ends is a fitting and unforgettable conclusion to Roberta Kagan's heartwrenching The Blood Sisters series.

I have been obsessed with the Blood Sisters series since book one. Each book has brought many tears but also some satisfaction. When Forever Ends had me in tears and kept me hooked until the final page ... Books like When Forever Ends are important to read. They teach us so much more than any textbook. It allows the reader to question what happened during the war and search for answers. I can only hope that the more we read and understand, then the more we will stand up for those in need of our help." – Netgalley Reviewer

Just finished this book! It was so good. Honestly I’m sad the story is finished. The characters were so well developed you felt like you knew them. Another great series by Roberta Kagan that makes you feel invested! Definitely one not to miss!" – Netgalley Reviewer

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "
The last in The Blood Sisters trilogy, When Forever Ends is a beautifully-written story about loss, love, perseverance, the capacity of humankind's extreme cruelty and hope. Author Roberta Kagan has clearly dug deep to write the gritty details of the realities of war and how it affected all walks of life in this harrowing story. Her words are well chosen and impactful ... Historical Fiction readers, do seek out this compelling trilogy. It will crush and enrich you." –Netgalley Reviewer

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "
An excellent series of books goes out on a high note with this book. Like the others, it is well written and full of unforgettable characters…not many people realize that gypsies were punished as much as the Jews were in WWII. They are highly recommended to lovers of historical fiction and all-around great reads." – Goodreads Reviewer

I am an USA Today Best Selling Author of Historical Jewish Fiction mainly set during World War 2. My father was Romany and my mother was Jewish, When I was very young I learned about the Holocaust. I couldn't understand how something like this could happen. So, I began to research and learn more. I met with survivors. I even met with children and grandchildren of SS officers. But I still had no answers. I cannot say that I have all of the answers to all of my questions even now. But what I do know is that soon all of the survivors will be gone. Their message must be remembered, the sacrifices that they made must not be forgotten. And so I humbly and with the utmost humility I try to tell their stories. It is painful, but I must convey the darkness and horror of the time, However, I also want the world to know and celebrate the unsung heroes. Because there were many ordinary people who acted in heroic ways. I realize that writing these books is a great responsibility. I pray every day that I am able to do this correctly. I am trying to reach out and touch many people, not with the message of the horrors but with the promise of hope. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering my work. It is an honor that I never take lightly.

I send you many blessings, Roberta

What a GREAT ending to the blood sisters. It truly was heartbreaking. I cried at the end. I loved how each character had an ending to their story

A great series with the first book being my least favorite but the story and the writing gained ground with each book. It’s not an easy read. What World War 2 book is? It was disturbing and gruesome, but it told a story that had me riveted to the very end. Worth the read for sure

I have read plenty of books but I have never read a book let alone a book series that had me hanging on every word. It got better and better with each book. I just finished the 3rd book “When Forever Ends”. I honestly can admit that I cried, I never have done that after reading a book. I can’t wait to read more books by Roberta Kagan.

The book was very good I am reading the books because my best friend of 72 years she is Jewish

The only reason I read books two and three was because I bought all three at once. The story line was good but the author’s poor writing and editing detracts from the story. In book three she keeps repeating what she wrote in previous chapters as though she needed to have enough words to publish it as a novel. She rambles on and on taking forever to get to the point. May I suggest she use a good copy editor because she needs one. Too many errors-the kind I would expect from a high school student. It is a shame, because with excellent writing, this would be an awesome series.

What a lovely way to end this series. So enjoyed the mixture of good and bad. I too have a blood sister. At 75 years young we are both happy about the bind that keeps us together. After all these years when we meet we start off just where we left off years ago. Even though I have a real sister, I rarely talk or think of her. But my blood sister is always in my thoughts.

I thoroughly enjoyed this 3 book series. This, the third in the set, was a difficult read in some ways because it is, at least in part, about the Holocaust and the hideous torment of the death camps - Ravensbruck in particular. I found it difficult to read about the atrocities in this book and yet I am certain that the reality was even worse. It was another good reminder why we, the world’s citizens, must never let the atrocities be forgotten. Why we must remain vigilant about the world’s leaders.

I am very glad to have happened upon this series. Each book was a pleasure to read. The plots are beautifully crafted and the characters are very engaging. Looking forward to more of Roberta Kagan’s books.

Im a big fan of Roberta’s and have read every one of her books. This did not disappoint! I read it in one sitting as I was taken back into Europe and the holocaust and clearly pictured all the characters as they lived through these terrible times. The books are easy to get into and the writing has a good flow. I will continue to follow this wonderful author hoping to see more books in the very near future!

The 3 books in the series of “The Pact” were absolutely fantastic. I felt the horror of what was being done to the Jews, as well as the warmth of friendship, love and betrayal. A must read.

The end of The Blood Sisters saga. Forgiveness is something Elicia wants and needs but can Anna forgive Elicia her part in the deaths of all those she loved and lost? Frankly, Ms. Kagan did a good job painting her characters. One of the most real stories of surviving the years of Nazis and the Third Reich.
