The new Armor 2X thermal design uses the patented torx fan technology also found on the award winning twin Frozr V graphics cards and advanced airflow control for enhanced cooling performance. From the manufacturer

    Unique Dual Fan Design

    ARMOR 2X thermal design is equipped with two of the award winning MSI TORX fans. Thanks to the patented blade design, MSI TORX fans provide strong cooling performance while remaining incredibly silent.

    Maximize Heatsink and Airflow Control

    Under the classy shroud and powerful dual fans is a huge heatsink with countless aluminum fins that help dissipate the heat from the GPU. The copper heatpipes are infused in the baseplate to ensure efficient cooling. The aluminum fins are rigged with Airflow Control technology to maximize airflow towards the heatpipes.

    Powerful Afterburner Overclocking Tool

    MSI Afterburner is the world’s most recognized and widely used graphics card overclocking utility which gives you full control of your graphics cards. It also provides an incredibly detailed overview of your hardware and comes with some additional features such as customizing fan profiles, benchmarking and video recording.

    Multi GPU Support

    MSI Armor cards fully support multi-GPU setups using NVIDIA SLI. Gaming enthusiasts are always looking for more performance to get the ultimate experience. Using multiple graphics cards in SLI or Crossfire is a great way to find out just how good it gets. MSI GAMING graphics cards fully support multi GPU technologies.

    Advance Zero Frozr Technology

    First introduced in 2008 by MSI, ZeroFrozr technology has made its mark and is now the industry standard among graphics cards. It eliminates fan noise by stopping the fans in low-load situations. This means you can focus on gaming without the noise of spinning fans.

    Disappointing power at this price point. UPDATED REVIEW
    UPDATE: 4-21-2017 All of my issues with this card were linked to my A87670K not being a good enough CPU. Once I swapped to a Ryzen 5 1500X, everything changed. I swear I cannot tell any in game differences between this Ryzen/470 build and my main rig in my room which is a Kaby Lake 7600K with an MSI 1060.I was quite surprised that this card does not perform as well as I thought it might. There was so many reviews that said it was basically an underclocked 480 that I went ahead and purchased it. I think I would have just spent $20 more to get an RX480 instead had I known it woul dbe a questionable performer. Even more surprising that it is an MSI that is underperforming. I am seeing sub par FPS is many basic games, such as World of Warships. Perhaps my expectations are high, as this was put into an AMD based PC I built. Main rig is a Kaby Lake I5 7600K with a medium range MSI 1060. That is full on ultra everything and never drops below 75 frames.What makes this card miss the mark, is not its maz FPS, it is the low fps it can hit which causes that stutter you see when playing a game. It makes it unfun, that is for sure. This card will suffice, but I should have learned my lesson. Every time I try an AMD card I am disappointed in the effort it takes to get halfway decent FPS.Now I dont have Doom, or any games that favor AMD over Nvidia, but really at around $200, this generation of video card should be able to play 60fps on a 1080P screen.

    Purchased two of these to pair with AMD FX8350's.
    Fantastic. Blazing fast, hammers through every game that I throw at it with Ultra graphic settings, does not struggle to deliver 60+FPS. .
    Heat management is dealt with efficiently with 2 large bladed fans. Power usage is less than I expected as well.
    Most people wouldn't worry about the outward appearance or aesthetics of this type of hardware but MSI always did make very "sharp" looking video cards.

    ========================================================
    Pay attention to the connection types, 2 x HDMI, 2x Display Port and 1 DVI-D Dual Link.
    Although I'd recommend using HDMI or the Display Port, your monitor may not have either so if you plan on using the DVI port, your older DVI adapters/cables may not work! Make sure you order or already have a DVI-D Dual Link.
    *Provided an image to show the difference.
    ========================================================

    Pros:
    Power to plow through any GPU intensive game.
    8Gb GDDR5
    Quiet considering the size of the 2 large fans.
    Very nice outward appearance.
    Power requirement was less than I expected.

    Cons:
    Where I do so very much enjoy the physical appearance of this card, I am very slightly put off by the inability to control the LED's. They are constantly on. This is only a very slight annoyance, but I felt I should mention it.

    Also:
    The packaging was TOP SHELF. Absolutely zero bloat, only what is required and the box is sharp. In the end that doesn't really matter but it sure is nice.
