The Naos 3200 is missing nearly everything it's advertised as having.
    2 Stars
The Naos 3200 is missing nearly everything it's advertised as having.
Let me start with the negatives. This mouse is missing a lot of what it's advertised for. This Amazon page claims it has "Up to 16.8 Million LED color options", it does not. It has three pre-programmed colors, blue, red and green and that's it. I even downloaded the software for the Naos 7000 to make sure I was looking everywhere for the RGB option. I left clicked on the colors, right clicked, scroll clicked, enter-keyed. Nothing. The 3200 does not have RGB capability. I don't know why they'd advertise it as so. I guess they twist their words, so it does have R(ed)G(reen)B(Blue), but exactly that, red, green and blue, no more. Still it does not have the 16.8 million options they advertise. *(There is a screenshot comparing the 7000's software to the 3200's software)And even with just these three colors, they still advertise that the mouse has "6 integrated LEDs in 4 color zones", which again, it does not. there's only the scroll wheel and Mionix logo that are lit, that's only 2 color zones. This also applies to the Naos 7000 by the way, in which it also does not have 4 color zones, just the two.Further more, the mouse does not have "Color shift, Solid, Blinking, Pulsating and Breathing effects", the mouse only has 'On' or 'Off'.Another negative, is the lack of any info on this specific sensor. Even the Mionix site simply says "Optical sensor" (Screenshot included), though, having now experienced this mouse and it's few features, I'm not too surprised. And finally, the included Manual is generic for the Mionix mice. It just says "Mionix - Quick Start Guide & Warranty information - Mice". Within the manual, it states you that "In the softare you can adjust.... [the] lift of distance", a feature I've seen advertised for the castor and Naos 700. However, with this mouse, the Naos 3200, that is not possible, it's not a feature within the software. (A screenshot of the manual is provided)I'm giving this mouse and the company's advertising capability a '2-Star rating' because the mouse is under-par with what I had expected and the advertising just sucks.- HOWEVER, the mouse does have it's positives. The mouse is very comfortable, ergonomic, the indents for your ring and pinky finger are just great. And with the rubberized coating, ooh, this mouse 'almost' literally fits my like a glove. For those curious, my hand is 19cm (7.5in.) from base to tip and 10.4cm (about 4in.) wide. The switches in the mouse are phenomenal as well. I went to my local Best Buy to try out an M65 RGB Pro as well as a SteelSeires Rival 300 before making the purchase, and these switches in my opinion, are slightly better. The Naos' switches, on all fronts, the scroll click, DPI up and down, as well as the back and forward buttons are just so satisfying and clicky and not at all soft, but also not too stiff. Just right. Also, the scrolling is magnificent, scroll fast and rush down a page, or scroll slowly with a every step of the scroll wheel. The steps on the scroll wheel are very apparent, and very appealing. Though I must add, even for the half-hour i've had this mouse, I've noticed that every once in awhile, it'll delay a scroll step or not recognize it and skip a scroll step all together. This is a minor gripe though, very minuscule as you'll probably never really notice it anyway.+Now, with all this said, I will indeed be returning this mouse. For a couple bucks more, I can get many more features from a different mouse.I think this mouse would be great for someone looking for a very comfortable, but that's about it. You can find mice with more features and pretty lights for about $10 or less on Ebay or Amazon. i was a user (And will be again for the time being) of one of these "$10 or less" mice, and now I want to upgrade. Even my cheap mouse has 7 pre-programmed colors, no software to hassle with, 7 buttons (left-click, right-click, scroll click, forward, back, DPI button and a dedicated double click), 5 set DPI's up to 7200 and a nice braided cable just for aesthetics and toughness. So why would I keep this Mionix Naos 3000 if I can get more from an $8 mouse?- NOTE: This mouse was purchased with a family member's Prime account, so that I could get the mouse faster, and with free shipping. This is why I do not have a 'Verified Purchase' tag. -

    Style: Naos 7000 (Optical)Verified Purchase
I've been using this mouse (Mionix Naos 7000) for a few weeks now, and I have nothing but good things to say about this mouse. Word to the wise: peripherals, especially mice, are usually very subjective and are rife with gaming-oriented marketing to make the product more enticing. Note that this review will be influenced by my personal preferences for a mouse. For reference, I am a 6'0" male with relatively long fingers. I also mostly use claw/fingertip grip due to the length of my fingers.

    Pros:
    1) Very smart design. It definitely looks odd in the pictures, but if you've ever questioned why mice manufacturers seem to completely ignore ring-finger and pinky-finger placement, this mouse is your answer. It definitely looks odd and took several days to get accustomed to the different shape, but it gets more and more comfortable as time goes on. Mionix emphasizes craftsmanship on their website, packaging, and other marketing material, and I'm pleased to say that the mouse delivers on those promises. I'm also a big fan of the completely rubberized finish on the mouse. I almost got a Sensei with the rubberized finish, but I found this mouse more appealing after reading the reviews on how comfortable it is. I don't know how well it will hold up or look after long-term use, but so far it stays pretty clean and feels very nice to grip.
    2) Comes with the right features. This mouse isn't overloaded with tons of buttons which likely won't be used by most customers. You have your standard left, right, and scroll-wheel clicks as well as two rocker buttons for the thumb and two DPI-switching buttons on the top. I have minimalist preferences, so this mouse suits my needs much better than other gaming-oriented, high-end mice. I haven't used the DPI-switching buttons yet, but thankfully they're pretty small and never get in my way, so their presence doesn't bother me.
    3) Simple software. I had no trouble figuring out how to customize my mouse with my preferred DPI level and setting the RGB lighting to match the rest of my computer. Again, I have minimalist preferences so I've only used the software once or twice, but those experiences were easy and painless.
    4) Satisfying buttons. the Omron switches in the left and right click buttons aren't the easiest to press, but they give a very satisfying tactile feel and corresponding sound. The scroll-wheel click is not too difficult to press without rolling the wheel. The DPI and thumb buttons aren't great, but they're good enough for how frequently I use them (not very much).
    5) Very high-quality sensor, but ONLY IN THE 7000. If you want this mouse, get the 7000 - it is well-known to have the best sensor of the series. The Pixart sensor in this model is very accurate and is very highly acclaimed.

    Cons:
    1) Shape isn't for everyone. I haven't verified this myself, but I understand now why users with smaller hands would not be able to adjust to the shape of the mouse. It does have a fairly large footprint that may be too long for short fingers. To those users, I would suggest the Mionix Castor for a similar mouse with equally great quality but a more accommodating shape. Obviously, it's not for lefties either.
    2) Sensor can't track on glass or white surfaces. This is pretty unfortunate because I would've liked to use my white desk, but I'll get a nice mousepad instead. Note that this isn't unique to this mouse - all infrared (IR) sensors will have this negative feature.

I'll follow up with a few comparisons to other popular mice.

    1) Mionix Naos 7000 v. Razer Deathadder 2013: I'm fairly sure the Deathadder hasn't changed much since then, so this should be pretty representative of all Deathadder mice. I've used that mouse as my primary driver for over 2 years, and although I've gotten used to the shape, the high arching back simply never suited my grip to my liking even though it's touted to suit claw grip very well. Although the Deathadder had nice rubber grips on both sides to allow for easier liftoff, the Mionix has both a rubberized surface and better contours so the user can truly hold the mouse. I'm very happy with my switch.
    2) Mionix Naos 7000 v. g502: I gave the g502 a chance after I saw it on sale at Best Buy recently. The g502 is a massively popular mouse, so I couldn't help but give it a chance. Subjectively, I wasn't a huge fan of the aesthetics of the g502; it seemed like a toned-down version of the ridiculous Mad Catz gaming mice without the modularity and adjustments. I actually did enjoy the feel of the g502 - it was well-designed with good rubber grips and fit a fingertip grip very comfortably. However, the sheer number of buttons on the g502 is what killed the mouse for me, especially the placement of the "sniper" button for the thumb. In order to hold the mouse comfortably with my long fingers, my thumb was resting on the sniper button, and I simply didn't want to hold a mouse with my thumb resting on top of a button. I didn't really have a use for the 11 programmable buttons and adjustable weight (even without extra weights I thought it was heavy), so I returned it to Best Buy. The g502's greatest strengths turned out to be the aspects I liked the least.

I think the current pricing at $55 (as of early 2016) is a very fair price for a mouse that can compare to mice that cost much more. I encourage you to give this mouse a try and return it if it doesn't fit your needs and preferences.

    Style: Naos 8200 (Laser)Verified Purchase
I bought this for around $50 to replace my aging and failing Logitech MX-518, which I have been quite content with since I got it new when they first came out.

I was hoping to find a very large/wide mouse to comfortably rest my man-sized hands on without having to support the weight of my hand with my arm, or lift my fingers off the desk surface. The pictures of this mouse made it look larger than normal, so I thought it was probably a safe bet. It's narrower than I had expected, but length-wise it is comparable to the MX-518 that I have been used to, so the butt of my hand rests on the desk behind the mouse like before, and I move it around with just finger movements unless I am doing really wide movement.

The design looks as if it has two grooves on the right for ring and pinky fingers to rest on. I thought this would be comfortable, but when I got it I realized that I use my ring finger for the right-click button and the middle finger sits on the scroll wheel/button, so only the pinky hangs off to the right. With this posture, my middle three fingers are grouped tighter together than I was used to with the MX-518, but after a day or two I got comfortable with that change. The pinky finger has that nice contour to rest on, but when I am moving the mouse, I am using the pinky and thumb to grip the side of the middle section. Again, this is slightly narrower than what I was used to, and I was afraid that would be a problem for me, but I have gotten very comfortable with it over a week or two. Being able to rest my pinky completely when I am not gripping the mouse for fast movement is really very nice, and I doubt I'll be able to move to another mouse that doesn't have similar support.

Features-wise, this mouse is absolutely top-notch. A high-resolution sensor, fast polling speed, rugged but flexible cable, hardware-programmed settings that will remain set if you plug into a different machine or OS, RGB LEDs which are independently configurable, and the ability to set 3 profiles and switch between them to use different settings in different contexts... I can't think of any more to ask for. Oh, the only missing feature is adjustable weights, but the mouse is extremely comfortable as-is so I don't really feel a need for that, given that I am not a pro-level gamer.

The sensor is extremely fast and precise at 8200dpi. This means I can turn the mouse speed setting in the OS all the way down and still precisely control the mouse movement all the way across my two screens with minimal wrist/arm movement. This setting reduces the precision of movements somewhat, so I feel like I can hit a target on the screen faster and more easily than ever before with these settings turned up to compensate for slower mouse polling.

The buttons and surface texture all feel perfect. Also the glide-feet on the bottom are big and wide and slide smoothly and easily on any surface. Nothing to nit-pick over in the feel department.

I think it's really fantastic to be able to set the LEDs on/off, color, and brightness independently of each other. So many products have overly-bright blue, green, or white LEDs that you can't turn off or adjust, and to me they are blinding at night and probably interfere with my sleep patterns. With this mouse I can turn off the LEDs that I don't want on, and set the ones I do want to a dim red color that won't interfere with my night vision or keep me from falling asleep at night. If I wanted, I could have the different profiles set for different colors/brightness to use at different times of day. Or just color-code the different profiles so it's clear which is which. I personally prefer not to waste one of the hardware buttons on mode-switching. I use the up/down buttons to change the dpi setting which is nice for gaming as well as for drawing/diagramming applications where both full-screen movements and precise pinpoint movements are part of the workflow.

Overall, I couldn't be much happier with this and I have recommended it to others already. I am thinking of buying another just to keep in my travel gear because it is so much better than the (expensive) travel mouse I currently have.

The best mouse i have ever owned. The best designed mouse on the planet. It would be like starting the reactor at the end of Total Recall, your hand was made for it.
Start the reactor, buy this mouse.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as sturdy as the naos7000

To start off: I really love Mionix and especially the Naos7000, which broke down on me after roughly 3 years of everyday work and gaming.
Therefore, I had to search for a new, as at this time the Naos7000 was not available. I bought the NaosQG and didn't really care about the sensors, which are integrated.

After 9 month the results are a corroding sensor. I did not peel off the protective plastic, but it just cannot withstand everyday use. Furthermore, the left click and one of the side buttons are blocked from time to time.

In conclusion: Please Mionix, I love your devices, they are really comfortable while playing and working. Just get rid off those additional sensors and just build a really nice mouse. I now found an old Naos7000 and couldn't be happier.
    Just avoid the NaosQG.
