Customers like the temperature of the video card. They mention it runs cool and quiet on idle. The card has good temps, with a 45C idle with stopped fans and a 75C max. It performs excellent, even in demanding games. The cooling makes for great fps, and the card never gets over 72C. It comes with liquid cooling and dbl fan setup, so you need room in your case to fit two. The evga version of afterburner can adjust fan speed to reduce thermals.

Customers are dissatisfied with the fan of the video card. They mention that it starts and stops constantly at idle, making a creaking noise. Some customers also report that the fans will not run until the card reaches 60C. When this happens, the computer shuts down. Some say that the fan is meant to turn off at low temps, but when it has mid range temperature, it starts to overheat and one of the fans goes out. This causes brown-outs or complete shutdowns of the computer.

Moreover the card temperature never goes above 65C and is always dead silent even with a more aggressive fan speed curve set in Precision X1. Speaking of Precision X1, I managed to do a decent overclocking with this easy to use software. To be honest I prefer MSI afterburner but to make sure I have the optimal stability I am using the Evga software (for now) and it's pretty good too. The RGB control is also easy with the software and it looks nice in my case (see picture).
Of course if someone is struggling to pay his rent I would say stick with your GTX 1080 but if you have the money, a powerful enough CPU and want a substantial fps boost I highly recommend this GPU.

I was confused which graphics card to order, since there are so many variants. I think the biggest thing that sold me on EVGA is their upgrade path, the ability to upgrade if a better card comes out on the market in a short time or if you need more performance.
I can say without a doubt while accounting the price of this graphics card - it's amazing and very fast.
First up the good:
This graphics card runs VERY cool , if you're worried about heat these new generation of graphics cards are amazing. If it doesn't need to spin up it won't. In most cases people just are running simple items on their computer like youtube, facebook, email, and website. This card won't create a ton of heat when idle.
VERY fast, when you demand the power, this card will be faster than most cards on the market. You can get faster, but it depends how much money you want to spend for an extra 10% performance. Start small and if you notice you need faster just call up EVGA and upgrade! A lot of people over purchase on their computer parts. You can quickly test what you need this way.
I wouldn't improve anything, this card is great!
Great product overall, and well worth the price! Start your gaming or studio work now!
I'm not a gamer so the framerate and related features don't matter directly to me. However, I do use the GPU for things like Blender, Lightworks video editing, Tensorflow, and other CUDA workloads. These all work without any complications and are fast. Using a simple face detection demo, this GPU completed in less than half the time as the 980. I didn't expect it would be that much faster because it doesn't have that many more CUDA cores, but I was surprised.
Hardware installation was straightforward. Under Linux I think I lose the ability to control the LED colors or something.
Software installation took a couple steps and involved disabling the nouveau drivers and enabling the proprietary Nvidia ones. Yes, I'm aware of the controversy about binary blobs, but the speedup and stability versus the nouveau drivers sort of made my choice for me. In any case, developing with CUDA requires NVidia drivers.
Blender 3D really takes advantage of those cores.
There's a Quake demo that got released today (June 6, 2019) that shows off some of the RTX capabilities. It runs and looks great, but like I said, I'm not a gamer and turned it off after just a couple minutes.

I was a bit worried to spend so much money on a graphics card given the stories of failures in
the 20 series so I went with EVGA because they are supposed to have the best warranty service and
Amazon because of its return policy. I got the card on new year's eve and that was a pleasant
surprise because it wasn't estimated to arrive until Jan 7, 2019. I spent new years eve
installing it! I have played 1 - 2 hours of games a day since then and the card has been 100%
solid. It did get a bit hot at first but i played with the fan curves and moved some of the panels
around on my Thermal Take Core V1 (yes it fits) and now the heat is okay and only reaches 75 Celsius
in heavy gaming. The recommended power supply is 650 watt but i am using the card with my 550 watt
power supply with no issues. My system doesn't have a lot of power hungry components so i
am okay. Many people criticize the 20 series and ray tracing and DLSS but i am pretty amazed at
how realistic games are with these features. The reflections especially during explosions in BFV are
awesome. I received the free battlefield 5 code when the card shipped and installed it with no problems and I play it
regularly. The graphics are realistic and pretty awesome.
The precision software is used to overclock, monitor temps, set the leds and fan curves. Make sure you use the
correct version, you need the x1 version for 20 series cards. The card does not have a lot of LED lighting and it can be turned off if you want. The lighting is only at the top of the card.
Some people think the card itself is ugly, but i have to say that the card looks much better in real life
than in pictures. The card has a back plate. I also got the free trim kit from EVGA but i haven't installed it in the card yet (i don't want to go through the work of taking the card out of my case to install it).
Would i recommend the card and amazon? Yes. It depends on how much you will use it and what hardware
you have now. If you have a 1080 ti maybe you should wait but if you had a 1050 ti like me and like
great graphics in games then it is worth the money.
There was only one small issue, which is fan wires were not tighten enough to the heat frame, and when fans run at low RPM, you could hear a "clicky" noise coming from them. This noise disappear as the fan speed raises.
This is a very well known issue in the EVGA forums and I was able to fix it myself by manually tighten fan wires to the metal heat dissipation frame.

La he usado sin parar en mi pc de gaming, es mi primer gpu, pero me encanta el poder de esta tarjeta. La uso tanto para fps como titulos triple A con las opciones al máximo. El RGB es bueno, pero no increíble
