I love it. I ordered the DVD. I wouldn't even consider downloading this huge file if given a choice such as a CD or DVD. It's so much easier, faster and cleaner than downloading. I recommend doing that if you have a DVD tray. It only took about 5 minutes to download from the DVD and install the program. I was very happy that it didn't overwrite my previous version, as an updated version. It created a whole new, stand alone program. I now have both versions of PSE giving me the choice of using what I'm used to or I can use the new 2018 edition. PSE 2018 works perfectly including a quick load time. It's really a very nice program for under $100.00.

I highly recommend it if you want an inexpensive program that is easy to use where you can do whatever your imagination dreams up.

I’ve gotten a new Photoshop Elements every time changes were made that I could use, and this one is definitely worth the upgrade. It’s fast and smooth, and has cool new tools for opening closed eyes and replacing backgrounds easily. Memory allotted to the program is now automatically assigned in Preferences according to available RAM, but can be changed. Older familiar tools also work better in this version, especially Auto Smart Fix and Auto Contrast. Those are often all you need to fix colors on an old picture. I like it!
Would recommend, would buy again.

I bought this SW for the Organizer capability since I already have PSE 15. I have many vacation photos and want another way to organize than merely using folders. However, the Places tagging capability is very limited and essentially useless IMO. 2018 has 4 levels of place capability (15 had 3, some earlier ones had 4) and you cannot create custom places inside the places tab. Adobe takes the addresses directly from Google and if Google puts in more than 4 levels (including the name of the location), you can't tag within the Places tab. As an example, trying to search for a location for the Central Park Zoo in New York City, PSE says it can't find any location named "Central Park Zoo" yet when I move around on the map, I can find it and click on it to get a location information window. The address shown is "Central Park Zoo; E 64th St & 5th Ave; New York; NY 10021" which seems like it should meet the 4 level limitation; however PSE adds "United States" and it gets to be 5 levels. What I really want in this case is to eliminate the street address since this is not important to my tagging strategy but PSE will not allow this.

I held a chat session with Adobe support and they confirmed that you cannot create a custom location within the Places tag section. So, I will just create my own locations within the Keywords tag section and ignore the Places tag section. This is what cost them two stars in the rating since they brag about the Places tagging capability.

I regret that I didn't do more research before purchasing this software. I installed it on a Macbook Pro 2016, 16GB memory running High Sierra. The installation went smooth but when editing images the application shuts down without any warning and all work is lost. I refuse to pay a monthly fee to Adobe and Photoshop 6 will not install on High Sierra so I'm in the market for a good non subscription photo editing application. You might want to check out the free 30 day trial of On1 Photo Raw 2018 before making a purchase. There will be a learning curve if you are familiar with Photoshop but On1 is a very nice package that works well as a stand alone application and an excellent addition to Adobe Lightroom. The price is comparable to Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018. Adobe is really letting it's customers down. This application shouldn't have been released due to so many confirmed bugs.

I was FORCED to buy the 2018 version.

I originally bought Elements premier 2011 with video and still features. I had let it lie unused for some years because it was a rather intimidating program and not quite as idiot-friendly as I could feel comfortable using.
I tried to fire it up after loading Windows 10 and got a shock when Elements pop-up window told me this version was no longer supported by the Elements people! I tried to get hold of customer service but found it easier to communicate with God than to connect with someone for Elements. Every time I tried to log on to customer support, the logging-on would shut down as soon as I would enter my product year (2011).

It is most galling that I did not ask for or, need their support for my version, I only wanted to use what I had purchased in 2011.
I felt like I had been held up I had to buy the 2018 version or have nothing.

I used this program to created some art. I took the letters of my friends name. Made them large and just the outline of the letters. Then I came up with words that describe him and put them inside the letters themselves. It turned out really sharp. I ended printing it out on photography paper. Now, I'm using it to make photo albums. Sometimes, I think that Adobe gets a bad rap. However, there are also those times when spending money for a great program is what is best. I like the ability to do things with this program instead of just making photo "albums".

I am happy with the purchase of this version. It does nearly all I wanted from photo editing software. And, the Organizer is so far working flawlessly opening picture that I have thought lost as they were on different CD s and in different formats such as .png and .raw. All in all, one of the better buys for me. I do recommend it, especially for people who hate monthly subscription to Adobe weather they use it or not.

As for shipping, it said it was free, well not so much as the charge of $ 5.95 appeared under SHIPPING/ Handling and was tacked on the order...... But, the shipping itself was prompt Thank you Amazon!

Three weeks of trying to install this program without success, I followed every suggestion on Adobe's blogs and followers to no avail. As for Adobe, their help desk just goes in circles and leads nowhere. 3 weeks to try to get to a chat forum on Adobe ? I think not !!
