    The NAS is now runing smoothly, as it should always have been. No more memory swapping on disk that was killing performances! (I am running quite a number of Dockers.)

    I just got the item today and without any hesitation I installed the 16 GB memory immediately on my DS224+. At first boot it takes 2 minutes to wait until it properly boot itself I verified my total memory on my DSM 7.2 update 3 and it is showing 18GB(with 2GB default RAM). If you are looking for RAM that is compatible with your Synology this is the memory that you are looking for.

    I bought two of these 16GB modules based on a recommendation on Reddit /r/Synology. It works for both my DS920+ and DS2224+ NAS devices. No error messages. Way cheaper than the Synology branded RAM modules, and much bigger.

    On my DS920+ I ran the command "sudo -i synosetkeyvalue /etc.defaults/synoinfo.conf mem_max_mb 20480" and this setting persists in the NAS config to ensure the device can use the full amount.

    Not that I really needed this much, but it's nice to have the extra cache on hand.

    If you want a decent performance out of your computer, you need a larger amount of RAM memory nowadays. For Windows 11, you need at least 16 GB.

    This will work with Synology DS920+ NAS. Passed memtest en for now it show no problem. Please note after installing ram and first startup power button might light up blue and stay that way for few minute and then it move on to HDD check. As Amazon might offer newer model as replacement always check if this is the right memory module you need and if other user have tested on their NAS. (If you bought for Synology)
