Works and within advertised speeds!
Decided to pick this out for my first NVMe seeing it being recommended as just one level above budget NVMe SSDs for my new PC build and to completely move away from disk drives. There were alternatives at this price/performance range such as Intel 670p and Sabrent Rocket Q, but I don't know enough about storage technology to tell whether they are better or worse in comparison.Installation into the motherboard was smooth and had Windows 10 installed quickly without any issues. Haven't tested it on any games since it'd just been recently built. A quick check with Crystal Disk Info and Crystal Disk Mark shows no problems and read write speeds matching advertised speeds. Compared to my previous OS SSD (Crucial MX200) at this point in time, random read/write performance increased decently while sequential read/write increase by 4x!Some of the reviews regarding lifespan are concerning, but for now I'm happy and satisfied with what I got.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Durable and Fast SSD
Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2021
This Kingston 1TB A2000 M.2 2280 Nvme Internal SSD is everything that you'd expect from an internal SSD. After I built my first Gaming PC using this piece, I have seen noticeable speed increases when playing some games, but its greater speed increase seems more visible in video editing software and regular software use (Windows, Office, etc...)

I can definitely attest to this SSD's durability. Should you view the screenshot, I do not have the screw to affix the SSD to the motherboard. Yes, it's just sticking up. I even tried electrical tape to hold it down with no success. (I circled in red where the screw should be.) Of course-I don't recommend anyone doing that, but if it still works for a knucklehead like me since last Christmas, then I have faith in the longevity of this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars For My Usage, Whats Not To Like?
Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2021
I installed the Kingston A2000 1TB NVME drive into a Sabrent enclosure to create an external SSD USB drive and it works flawlessly. I formatted it for Windows (NTFS) and tested it then formatted it for MacBook M1 (APFS) and retested it. The combination of this relatively inexpensive NVME drive and the Sabrent enclosure were as fast as the big name brand “T7” 1TB drive that I already owned when attached to a 3 year old Dell and it was faster than the "T7" when attached to a Macbook Air M1. I used CrystaIDiskMark to evaluate its speed for Windows and AmorphousDisk Mark to evaluate the speed on the M1. Note: I posted a parallel review with the Windows speed comparison for the Sabrent enclosure rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great speeds on Mac Mini 2014 and Aurora R5 computers
Reviewed in Canada on September 15, 2021
I purchased 2 of those. I Installed it in a Mac Mini 2014 with an adapter card (you can find those online for 10$). It's an easy installation (you'll need a T6 security screwdriver) and you can get around 700 MB/s on that machine, since the Mac Mini 2014 only has 2 PCI lanes on the connector. Still much faster than a SSD drive connected via SATA (which gives you around 500 MB/s).
I also installed it in an Aurora R5 computer, which has a dedicated M.2 slot. I get full speed on that machine; 2238 MB/s read, and 2137 MB/s write on a sequential test. Well worth the upgrade for both machines.
