Save Money by Running the House on Your Schedule

The HS110 allows you to create schedules to automatically power on or off your home electronics and appliances at anytime. You can create a schedule for each device any day of the week, or customize it by a specific time in a day.

Keep energy bills low by effectively managing your most power consuming appliances. Scheduling allows you to prevent power hungry devices from being left on longer than needed.

Make your devices run on your schedule, even when you’re not there.

Control from Anywhere – No Hub Required

Your Smart Plug can be controlled through your existing Wi-Fi network via the free Kasa App*. Download the app to your smartphone or tablet and have access to turn your home devices on/off, set schedules, and monitor energy usage.

The Kasa app allows you to add as many Smart Plugs as you’d like to keep track of multiple appliances, whenever, wherever.

*Compatible with Android (4.1 and higher) or iOS (iOS 9 and higher) smartphone or tablet.

Lower Your Electricity Bill

Use the Kasa App to monitor real-time and historical power consumption for your connected electronics or appliances. Receive weekly and monthly summaries to define which devices are using the most power. Closely monitoring power-hungry devices can help you better manage energy usage in your home, ultimately saving you money.

Control with Your Voice

The Smart Plug now works directly with Amazon Echo to manage your devices through Voice Control. Assign a name to each Smart Plug and communicate each plug by name when making a voice command. You can also create groups for multiple smart plugs and control them all with one command.

Appear at Home While You’re Away

Have the Smart Plug work for you and enjoy peace of mind when you’re out of town. Connecting a lamp to your smart plug can provide home security benefits. Set it to Away Mode, and the Smart Plug will automatically turn the light on and off to give the appearance that someone is home. No more wondering if you left your appliances on. You can monitor all of your connected devices and power them down.

Convenience for Everyday Appliances

Plug in your humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air conditioners and space heaters to keep your home comfortable without running up your electricity bill. You know when the devices need to run, so don’t count on their built in timers. The Smart Plug gives you back the control. You can monitor their electricity use directly and adjust their use accordingly.

Energy Monitoring Feature is Worthless

Energy Monitoring Feature is Worthless
I am writing this review specifically about the HS110 model with energy monitoring (since Amazon likes to group related products together). That particular version is basically pointless, because the energy monitoring is so far off from reality. Since energy monitoring is the whole reason to buy the HS110 over the HS100, I believe that feature not working deserves a 1-star review. There are a few issues that I've found that have led me to return the product:1) Kasa app is terrible and doesn't seem to refresh most of the time without killing it (swiping up in iOS) then re-launching it. I tried just doing a "pull down to refresh" on the page that shows all my devices (just one in this case) and it acted like it was refreshing, but energy usage was still from yesterday or the last time I launched the app. Strike 1.2) Even when I force it to refresh, the energy usage is WAY off. Like 200% or more high. I was using this to monitor a dehumidifier with a 500W nameplate draw. When it was on, the HS110 was indicating 1100 watts! Almost had a heart attach until I realized the reading was faulty. Compared to a Kill-A-Watt and the Kill-A-Watt showed 566 watts. I double checked with a simple light bulb just in case there was a problem with inductive loads like compressors. Nope, still more than double what the Kill-A-Watt read. Strike 2.3) After reporting this problem to TP-Link, I got an e-mail from support with a .zip file containing a firmware update, with a random .exe file to run the firmware update. Not even a mention of "yes this is a known issue and this will fix it," just "here try this." I'm on a Mac, I'm not going to fiddle with firing up a Windows VM to try and update the firmware on something that should be working out of the box. There doesn't appear to be a way to update the firmware from the Kasa app or the web or anything like that. Strike 3.Just printed my return label, this one is going back.
