"...The device does NOT light up, you must connect it to your Hue bridge...." Read more
"Nice device and super easy to set up. Connects to Hue hub without a problem and was easy to link with my lights...." Read more
Customers like the motion detection of the product. They mention that it quickly detects motion from a good distance, the sensitivity is very good, and the daylight sensing is flawless. The indoor motion sensors are pretty rock solid, and can sense and report the temperature, the amount of light, and any motion. It can turn lights on when motion is detected, as advertised.
"...The sensor also offers temperature and Lux readings. The temperature seems mostly accurate to a couple of degrees...." Read more
"...Works great. Surprisingly sensitive and fairly good range and breadth for motion detection window. The installation was a little wonky...." Read more
"...They actually have three detectors built into them. They can sense and report the temperature, the amount of light and any motion...." Read more
"...Philips hue is worth the money though, best smart lighting out there :)" Read more
Customers find the installation process of the motion detector device to be easy and painless. They mention that the sensor pairs easily with the Hubitat Hub and that the application is user-friendly.

"...So buyers know what you are getting. These are Hue only sensors...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the sensitivity of the motion detector device. Some mention that it has a great range and sensitivity, while others say that it works well, but is way too sensitive. The motion detection and light sensitivity are adjustable using the Philip Hue App or Apple Home app, and it is able to connect at such a long distance. However, some customers say that the sensor is way to sensitive and not sensitive or far-reaching enough.
"...Works great. Surprisingly sensitive and fairly good range and breadth for motion detection window. The installation was a little wonky...." Read more
"...a nice device and does what it says it does, it's just not as sensitive or broad reaching as advertised...." Read more
"...The motion detection is also adjustable. On my units I have found that they can be very sensitive. In fact too sensitive...." Read more
"...However, the sensitivity problem remains in that it picks up people walking on the sidewalk and cars moving on the street at the lowest setting...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the value of the motion detector device. Some mention that it's worth the money, while others say that it is overpriced and has limited functionality for the high price.

My wife has a kings ransoms worth of plants in the yard, and we use the motion sensors to detect the deer coming into the yard at night to eat her plants. The Homeseer sends out a verbal announcement over the Google Home on which sensor is detected. (The dog is quite keen to hear the announcement and pops up ready to chase).
The sensors work very well on sensing the deer, only issue would be when a car passes by as others have mentioned, or when its too windy. We had the ability to turn the sensors away from the road to resolve the car light issue, but when it is too windy and the branch and trees are swaying, we have to disable the automation. Direct sunlight also gives false triggers, but we don't use the motion sensors during the day. The sensors work well of course on detecting of there things people, dogs, and other varmints.
The sensor also offers temperature and Lux readings. The temperature seems mostly accurate to a couple of degrees. I don't use the lux measurement and have turned down the reporting to a change of 500 lux. I have used the motion sensitivity adjustments through the Hubitat devices dashboard, and appears to make a difference.
All 6 of my sensors have survived about a year with no failures yet. I think it's a good product for the outdoors if you can avoid direct sunlight and car headlights.
The installation was a little wonky. I installed it on an outer corner and I really wasn't a fan of the way the screw was held in place by the plastic mount.
I was surprised to have it show up in HomeKit with a temperature sensor and numeric light level sensor. Pretty slick. Could easily use it to determine if I left the garage door open.
Update - 1-2-23:
Still going strong! Will be adding some smart automation in HomeKit using this sensor soon. I can report that it has survived temps that got to nearly zero (even in the garage! It was a pretty cold stretch) for a couple days. I haven't tried putting another sensor next to it to see how close the temps are to each other, but given that it follows the daily temperature swings for the area, I suspect it's at least qualitatively accurate.
The motion detection is also adjustable. On my units I have found that they can be very sensitive. In fact too sensitive. I have had to dial mine back a bit to avoid detecting flying bugs and the like. These do have a battery, but so far I have had mine up and running for over a year and they are still going strong. Either way battery life is one of the items the units report back to the app so you will have advanced notice when they neeed to be replaced.
One more great thing. These can bee used to trigger lights anywhere in you Hue installation. You configure what lights to control in the app and it will do it. There are different setting for time of day, Night, Daylight and lots of other controls.
Update: I went ahead and bought one more of these and spent a little more time figuring out the best positioning for my property and have them working pretty well now. I gave an additional star from my original review because these really are great devices despite my previous complaints. It's very convenient to be able to leave my outdoor lights off most of the time (I live on a large, wooded property and leaving the lights on all night results in bugs and spiderwebs plastered all over my house) and have them come on whenever I walk out or someone approaches my house. I wanted to update for anyone who might be wondering how well multiple outdoor motion sensors work together... It works great and was very easy to set up. Once in a while I get a weird glitch where I can literally be waving my hand in front of the sensor and it won't trigger, but this is rare and likely a firmware thing. Overall, these are great devices, but I maintain that they're pricey for what they are and I wish they had a little more range. Philips hue is worth the money though, best smart lighting out there :)

Pairing to Hubitat was simple and immediate. Quickly added rules for turning on various outdoor lights when motion occurred based on this devices luminescence setting i.e. only at night - not based on time, but on how dark it is.
It's great that it also has a temperature sensor, which I'm sure I will also include in more automations soon.
I will update this review if problems arise, but so far I love this sensor. Quality build.
