Awesome Product!!!
I'll soon be packrafting in Alaska and wanted something to charge my iPhone 5 and my Fuji XP70 digital camera. In the attached photo I have the panels hooked up to a battery charger for my camera battery. The charger is connected using the car charging port that comes with the Nomad 7. It's charging the battery in direct sunlight. I'm not sure how long it will take as the battery was dead. I tried charging my iPhone 5 and it would not work. I purchased the Guide 10 Plus to charge with the panel so I could charge my phone and other devices. When I purchased the panels the first time they arrived scratched and the box was damaged. Perhaps it was returned and sold as new again. Amazon sent me another one. Then I had an issue with the batteries not holding a charge in the Guide 10 Plus. Contacted Goal Zero because the batteries had been manufactured in 3/2013 as printed on the battery. However, I did not purchase them until 3/2015. If the batteries are not used within the first year they could become weaker or not hold a charge. Even though I bought the Guide 10 elsewhere Goal Zero replaced the batteries for me. I provided proof of purchase, photo's of the batteries and number of times they were used prior to submitting the claim.I've talked directly with Goal Zero on a number of occasions in researching what would be best to use on this trip. They're customer service and knowledge is great. I also became a certified expert to sell their products at the outdoor store I work at part time. I really believe in the quality of the product. Plus they're working hard to reach communities who are in need of lighting, including third world countries. I highly recommend checking out their website!
