Product Description
PoE for All of Your Apple Devices & Tablets
So you’ve decided to mount your Apple tablet in your conference room, digital signage point, or at a kiosk, and now you need power for it. PoE is the industry-leading expert positioned to help you find the best solution to fit your individual goals and streamline your business’s needs. Let us help you spec out the right PoE solution for your tablet.
Take a look at the options you’ll find here:
1. Power 802.3af POE to 5 Volt Splitter (10W Output, Compatible with most Apple Devices)
If you’re looking for a power-only option and your goal is to conceal as much as possible (meaning you tuck it away inside the wall or the ceiling), this is the pick for you. This device is designed for Apple Tablets & iPhones. This device will not work for USB-C tablets.
2. Power 802.3af POE to 5 Volt Splitter (10W Output, USB-A & Micro-USB Compatible)
If you have a USB-A or Micro-USB compatible camera or smartphone you’d like to power using PoE, this may be the option for you. Also designed for discrete setup, you can keep your space sleek & cord-free by tucking this device away into the wall or beneath a desk. This option is compatible with USB-A and Micro-USB devices.
3. Power & Data 802.3af PoE to 5 Volt Splitter (12W Output, Compatible with most Apple Devices)
This option allows you to deliver power and data to your device, bringing your tech online. Great for small spaces and easy to conceal. Use to send power and data over one cable for video conferencing installations like Zoom Rooms, kiosks, POS stations, schedulers, and more. This option is designed for most Apple devices. This device will not work for USB-C tablets.
4. Power & Data 802.3at PoE+ to USB-C Power Delivery (25W Output, Dual Compatibility Options)
With capabilities to deliver both power and data, this in-wall splitter option is perfect for mounted tablets in office or commercial spaces. With dual compatibility options, this solution works with most Apple products, as well as Google Pixel, Microsoft Surface Go, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Amazon Fire, and new tablets.
Save Money with Power Over Ethernet
Power Over Ethernet can save you 30% on any given project where you would otherwise have to call a licensed electrician out to pull a permit just to put an outlet somewhere so you can mount a camera. Even better, because PoE runs on low voltage power (less than 56 volts) you can safely do the work yourself.
We understand your time & budget are precious. PoE helps you spend your resources wisely, and cuts out the middleman to simplify the job.
Without being tethered to an electrical outlet, your devices can be located wherever they are needed most, and easily relocated if needed.
POE delivery is intelligent, and designed to protect network equipment from overload, underpowering, or incorrect installation.
POE power comes from a central and universally compatible source, rather than a large collection of wall adapters distributed throughout your building
Having power readily available on the network means installation and distribution of the network’s connection is simple and effective.

I bought a PoE switch and 8 of these PoE splitters. They are nearly PERFECT. My only complaint is that they come in one color (black) while the IP cameras are white.
They are easy to set up and do exactly as they describe. Plug in the Ethernet cable (going to your PoE switch) on one end, and plug the power and Ethernet plugs on the other end to the IP camera. Works like a charm. I tried it out on several devices, including a Raspberry Pi and my cell phone (just for charging). No problems at all.
It works perfectly, never have I had a voltage drop nor the iPads ever fail to charge, granted they don't charge fast in this setup, but the small voltage passing through the Ethernet is more than enough to keep them at 100%.
If you need a remote charging solution for your USB device, look no further this is what you need.
I was able to fit the adaptor inside a single-gang Wiremold junction box. The long cord and right-angle connector gave me plenty of slack to route the cable inside the iPad mount (for which I had to go through the wall and into the back of the mount, since there are no openings on the bottom of the mount I have).
The adaptor provides Fast Ethernet (100mbps - NOT gigabit / 1000mbps) connectivity. For my purposes, this is more than sufficient.
The adaptor also has two mounting holes, although I did not need them in my instance. The adaptor was a bit too thick to fit inside the iPad mount which I am using (which is actually for the original generation iPads, so it's probably a lot thicker than a newer mount would be). This is why I was glad I could fit it inside the single-gang box, or could have been mounted ouside the enclosure.
