Then Eve released the Eve Extend.
For anyone who does not already know, the Eve Button (and most of Eve’s products) rely on Bluetooth to connect to the Apple HomeKit Hub. Sparing the technical details, this greatly limits the range and reliability of Eve devices including the Button. The Eve Extend however, communicates with your Hub over WiFi, which has much more power and range than Bluetooth, but then it also uses Bluetooth to communicate with your Eve Devices. So if you place an Eve Extend in the same general vicinity as your Button, then it’s reliability increases greatly (for me it’s been probably 99% now).
So it sucks that in order to make the Eve Button reliable, you have to invest in an Eve Extend, which is why I’m deducting a star. The Eve Button, however, is a really good product, which is why I just ordered another. I’m invested enough in the Eve ecosystem that buying the Eve Extend was a relatively small investment to make the other Eve products I’d already bought work far more reliably. I actually have to give Eve credit for recognizing their products had a fatal flaw and engineering a solution to help their customers; I feel like not a lot of companies do that.
If you set it up and it works the first top, it's okay.
It will usually NOT respond if you quickly turn a light off then tap the button again.
But it's not for that.

However it just does not work. I have set it up, tested the settings (where the app says “test the setting”) and that works swimmingly, but the button will not work.
Latest firmware, battery new...
Have put in a tech support email.
I have mine setup like this:
1 press: "I'm Home" scene (I call this the babysitter button since all my lights turn off when my wife and I leave the house, leaving the babysitter in the dark, confused)
2 presses: "Someone is at the door" (it's dark outside, so if someone knocks on the door while I'm watching TV, this lights up the foyer and porch)
Long press: "I'm Watching TV" scene

I put this switch near the kitchen sink and it's perfect to turn on the hot water when needed.
Setup was easy. Tactile feel is also good.
I will probably buy more in the future.
Top reviews from other countries
I was immediately surprised how small this is. Put a strap on it and it could pass as an Apple watch! Setup was fairly easy although I needed to set up new scenes in the Elgato app (Lights on Eve, Lights off Eve) as the button had trouble reliably triggering the built in ones in HomeKit. For the simple task of turning lights on and off without reaching for your phone, this works ok. Biggest complaint is that there is often a noticeable lag between you pushing a button, and getting a light to turn on or off. Enough of a lag that I found myself pushing button again before it had time to respond to the first click. A bit frustrating, and I hope there is a firmware patch that fixes this.
For what it does, it may be a bit pricey. It has a lithium button battery which often do not last long and can be pricey. Not sure why they just did not use standard AAA batteries.
