I love how long the charge lasts. My A7 is superior in sound but lacks the portability and convenience- they simply have different purposes. I have not regretted this for even a day. If you only have one item- this could be it. I realize it is not the very top of the line but it is not supposed to be. It is perfect for its intended use.
I found the beoplay A2 had a very clean sound as well as the T7 . They both had very clean bass and never had that muddy sound I found with the Bose . Maybe never achieving the bass like Bose but as I've said that can be a good and bad thing.
What we have to realize is that these speakers will never take the place of a bigger bookshelf speaker but placed in the right position they do a pretty great job as trying .
So why I would chose the T7 over the Beoplay A2 is purely esthetics. The T7 is a great speaker. Beautiful design and doesn't feel cheap . The A2 on the other hand has a plastic grill. Also the thinness of the Beoplay A2 made it difficult to stand up on certain surfaces ( which is purely my doing as I like to sometimes watch movies in bed ) .
That's my review . Hope this helps . You won't be disappointed if you purchase T7 .
The reason to get this is for the easily portable, long-lasting good sound. The sound is better than any of the Bose small bluetooth speakers I've heard. It is greatly inferior, however, in my opinion to the Apple Homepod, but it is much more portable (and supports bluetooth). The sound from the T7 is also extremely directional, only sounding good directly in front of the speaker.
The battery easily lasts an entire day. I've been using it at work as a portable speaker in the operating room (I am a nurse anesthetist, in charge not only of anesthesia but of the music in the operating room). I charge it each night. The volume is sufficient for a room but not loud even at 100% except when right in front of the speaker.
For the quality, I feel that the speaker is a bit overpriced. The quality is definitely high. For portable, wireless use, I recommend it especially if you could get a discount. However, for a small speaker for a room like an office or bedroom, a HomePod is a better, comparably priced option
I have many bluetooth speakers, Bose, JBL, more bose and many Airplay speakers (Bose and B&W A7).
not quite the finement of the B&W A7, but a much more refined listen to the Bose or JBL... I like both the Bose and the JBL, but the T7 is very involving, refined and a great listen.... plus 18+ hours of battery life.... i always forget when was the last time I charged it...
at home I have a very high end stereo set up, which I don't listen to very often as it is in a dedicated environment, the tubes need to warm up, and its a great listen when I have the time .... I end up listen most of the time to the B&W A7 in the dining room via airplay or the T7 in the bedroom (even though I have 2 more set ups in the bedroom also! the T7 is just more convenient).
if you care about sound, more than most of your friends, and your partner complains about how much money and things you have regarding audio, this is the bluettooth speaker for you .... excellent!

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another of these speakers
Already knew about B&W from my first venture in to the audiophile world before settling on my HD558 headphones. Price played a part in my decision making then having initial interest between HD558 and HD598. B&W were long out of the running due to cost plus had no previous experience of B&W compared to having many years of ownership of sennhierser in ear headphones. Was also worried the B&W may have been a little more of style over substance (having known Bose have a bad rep on audiophile sites I'd been looking at as good but over priced but really well marketed and branding).
Now a few years down the line and seeking a portable speaker and having been impressed by my friends I looked to getting one. Remembered about B&W zeppelin however was put of by the price and a number of bad reviews about Apple Airplay dropping out but raving reviews of the sound quality. Did some research (with some slight predjdice against Bose I admit) and found out about the B&W T7.
Found out that it was B&W had never made a Bluetooth speaker before due to their concerns about Bluetooth compromising sound quality and that now advancements in the technology meant they now had faith in Bluetooth not compromising sound quality. Also liked how they had selected a particular rubber for the case as they found it to be the best a getting rid of unwanted vibrations. Not only that but the particular rubber can only be produced in black, they could of used a different rubber that was good but not as good but available in other colours but they didn't want to compromise to sound even slightly. So a win for substance over style. The honey comb patten is also there to eliminate unwanted vibrations. Yet despite having been designed so that nothing compromises the sound quality in any way and is still a fantastic looking object.
Sound quality is phenomenal for its size. People are complaining about lack of bass, they must either be deaf or want the bass to rattle the mercury out of their teeth. There is plenty of bass there, less bass than my mates Bose sound link but unlike the sound link the bass does not compromise the finer details, high hats and cymbals sound really crisp and clear. Sound stage is naturally below that of either if my Sennheisers every little detail can be picked out. However that is to be expected as the sound is only coming from one direction as so you you lose the depth of sound but you still hear all the little details you'd easily miss on lower end speakers and headphones.
Battery lasts ages. Stated as 18 hours (based on rock music at 75% volume) but I've had much more play time than that on a single charge. Portablility, some have complained it's not portable, must be on drugs. Little bit longer than an ipad mini and about 3/4 of the height (when ipad mini in landscape). If you don't think it's portable I think you need to look up the definition the word "portable". Also comes with European and US travel adapter for its plug (not a stand alone adapter than can be used on other products, just it's plug). Controls are easy to use, there's buttons on it for volume, skip, back, play/pause however I never use them. Someone mentioned it has no remote but it' would be virtually redundant if it had one as you will 99.9% of the time use the device connected eg phone, tablet etc to raise/lower volume, skip etc
All in all an exceptional Bluetooth speaker due to awesome sound quality, long battery, good looking, simple to use.
