About this item

  • Expertly Tuned Graphene Drivers: As graphene’s earliest pioneers, we have used our experience to create a new driver for Liberty Neo wireless earbuds that takes full advantage of the material’s remarkable properties. 100 times harder than steel and 35% lighter than traditional driver diaphragms, it oscillates with extreme precision to give your music a wider soundstage with exceptional accuracy and crystal-clear clarity across the entire frequency range.
  • Bass You Can Feel: Our exclusive BassUp technology analyzes your audio’s low frequencies in real-time and instantly increases the bass by up to 43%. Stop simply listening to your music, and start really feeling it.
  • Unbreakable Connectivity: An external antenna combines with Bluetooth 5.0 to create an almost unbreakable link between your wireless earbuds and your device—even in busy places. No skips, no drops.
  • IPX7 Protection: SweatGuard protection creates a watertight barrier for the wireless earbuds against rain and sweat. It even resists water from the tap when you’re washing away the sweat after a hardcore workout.
  • Power a Week of Listening: Using our Anker heritage and high-efficiency power cells, Liberty Neo delivers over 5 hours of wireless playtime from a single charge and an extra 15 hours from the compact charging case.

    Custom Fitastic!
    5 Stars
    Custom Fitastic!
I have 5 sets of bluetooth headphones in the house. Some with a wire between them, others without. These are the best and here's why.1. Custom Fit. Anker gives you a few more accessories to taylor the fit to your ear than the other guys. It is really nice to have two "medium sizes". I found that I preferred the smaller of the two. The little tuck tabs also work great and again, you have many options here as well.2. The sound is great. It's a very good balanced sound and it is clear enough to hear any imperfections in our digital music. I'm a music guy, so sound quality is important to me. I gave it a 5/5 stars but temper your expectations. I found it to have more than enough bass, and mids and highs were crisp and detailed. I gave it 5/5 as I'm comparing it against other wireless bluetooth earbuds. Comparing these to audiophile plugged-in headphones is unfair.3. Noise Cancellation. It cancels noise because it plugs your ear canal. That's it. These should even have a noise cancellation rating as I think that should be reserved strictly for Active Noise Cancellation.4. At the Gym. These are the buds you're looking for. I am retiring "the other best selling Amazon (MPOW Bluetooth wire connected earbuds)" for these Anker Soundcore's. I am so sick of the wiring pulling on one side or the other. These buds give you the freedom to move your head around and do all of those Crossfit or HIIT workouts without risk of the buds coming out.5. So far the battery life seems to be as promised. I haven't done a full load to full drain time test, and I probably won't. I'm really good about plugging my stuff in and keeping it charged, but even if you're not, the case charges the buds a couple times for you. I'm sure if you have a desk job, the "case charging" will come in handy.6. Connectivity. Instant. Bluetooth 5.0 is really nice. Pull them out and they are paired. Since I use these at the gym, I have them paired with my Apple Watch. I have no phone on me. That is sweet sweet freedom.7. Charging. Plug it in using Micro USB. Charge away. The lights tell you charging status. USB-C would have been nice but for one Ulysses Grant, I'm not complaining.8. Build. Seems to be solid. Case snaps open and closed firmly. The buds are strong, nothing flimsy about them. If Anker were smart, they would offer various colored "tuck" bands for these as it would allow people to have a more customized look.9. The Case. It's a lot smaller in person than what you see on YouTube videos. I call that a plus. It also doesn't look like a dental floss container or cost 2 bones.10. What's Odd? The logo. It looks nice, and someone obviously spent a little bit of time thinking about it, but for a product called the Anker Soundcore Liberty Neo, you would think it would have been an "S" logo for Soundcore, or a Liberty Neo logo. Instead they just grabbed a random letter in the middle of the word Soundcore for their branding of these. So enjoy putting the "d" in your ears. ;-)I was impressed enough by these buds that I wrote this review almost immediately after receiving them. I also took all of my custom silicone parts off and put on smaller ones just so my wife could try them. She was impressed as well, which means I will probably have to buy these again... hmmm... Mother's Day is coming up...If I lost these, or needed another set, I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. Well done Anker. Also, I didn't receive these as a promotion and I am in no way associated with Anker. I'm just a happy customer who received a product that was better than expected.

I have an unhealthy obsession with buying new earphones. I'm a very active guy, and I always find an excuse to buy new pairs of headphones. New race coming up, new pair. New ultra-marathon, several new pairs. Earphone fell out during a run, new pair. Cord uncomfortable at gym, new pair. The woman is very unhappy with my collection of literally over a hundred pairs of headphones that I've racked up over the past decade or so. One problem is that I simply cannot find a pair that checks "all the boxes". The vast majority simply don't fit me correctly; my ears are incredibly finicky and I've returned many pairs over the years (if the policy allowed) due to a fit that just didn't work for me at all. I still have several dozens where I either held on and kept trying longer than I should have (past the return windows) or ate the restocking fees on. And several dozen more that get the job done, but require regular adjustments. To date, there have been precisely three pairs of earphones/buds that fit me "correctly". The first was the Adidas Sennheiser CX 685 from 2012 or so. The second is the JBL Yurbud Inspire 100 -- only the 100, anything higher has microphones or magnets that gently wiggle them out of my ears. These Liberty Neos are the only the third pair in over a decade to fit me correctly. Good timing too, since I was down to my last pair of Yurbuds (I believe they've been discontinued, and the rest my stock of nine all eventually went dead, though I still love them for wired earphones). I've gone through eight pairs of these newer "true wireless" style (including the more expensive Jabra Elite 65t and the Apple Airpods), and the Neos have outperformed ALL the rest overall.

Now, everybody's ears are different. What works for me might not work for you. And MOST people don't have as difficult of a time as I do with finding a pair of earbuds that just fit "right". But for ME, I simply haven't found anything that fits perfectly like these do. They jam comfortably and deeply into my ear, creating a perfect seal, but don't hurt. Some earbuds jam even further in and either hurt or end up having their silicon tips "squished" by the movement of ear/jaw, distorting the sound. Others make a great seal but gradually create this "vacuum" effect as the seal plunges in and out of my ear canal. The Neos just work for me. A close runner-up is the Elite 65t, but it's not as good. Again, these are just my ears, your results may vary.

The sound quality on the Neos is fantastic. Properly "clean", not overly-processed. Great, balanced sound. Enough bass for my basshead tendencies. To be fair, good fit and decent bass are far more important to me than fantastic sound quality/reproduction, so I'm probably not the true authority here. But they sound pretty great to me. Not the best, but I've nothing to complain about.

The controls could be a downside for some. A lot of people take issue with the lack of volume controls. I personally don't care about that, as I tend to set my volume and leave it for hours at a time while out running. What DOES bother me is how stiff the little buttons are. You really need to press down (and hold) while jamming the earbud into your ear to skip tracks. I find myself using my watch or phone controls to skip tracks more often than not. That said, I also don't like touch-sensitive controls and I frequently press too few/many times on softer-touch buttons as well, so I can't honestly say the Neos fall behind competitors in a way that matters to me.

Battery life is better than claimed. At average volume, I get an admirable 5:20-5:40 on most of my runs. At low volume, I've been able to exceed six hours twice. At almost-max volume, I came in just under five hours. The "battery low" alert seems to kick in anywhere from 30-60 minutes before it actually goes dead, progressively getting more frequent until it just shuts off.

I don't mind that these charge via micro USB, as I have plenty of other devices that still do as well. That said, the little rubber charging-port cover is a bit tricky to move completely of the of the way unless your plastic at the end of your charge cable has a very slim profile. I found myself frequently fighting the swing-away cover and inserting the cable at an angle (or being unable to fully insert at all). So I simply ripped the rubber door off. Keep this in mind if this kind of thing bothers you. I couldn't care less.

All in all, I'm extremely happy with these headphones. So much so that I just ordered the higher-end "Zolo by Anker" model for that 8 hour battery life. I just hope the fit is exactly the same.

Now for that note on customer service...

I originally had ordered the 3.5-hour version of these earbuds. This was a mistake on my part, and I actually thought I owned the 5-hour version. To further compound this issue, the current, upgraded listing replaced the old product very shortly after I ordered, and that old item is now listed as a new lower-end model. My order history now links to this new item. If I go back into my order history/emails, it's clear that, at the time I ordered, this was listed as having a 3.5-hour battery life. Yet I thought I had the newer 5-hour version all along. My mistake, 100%. That said, even with the 3.5-hour version, battery life was a bit under target. My best was 2 hours and 40 minutes, and that's at the lowest possible volume with a clean line-of-sight connection and performing no button-press actions. Had I known I owned a pair rated for 3.5 hours, I would've shrugged it off as "close enough". But, since I thought they were supposed to last five full hours, I tried contacting Anker and asking about obtaining a replacement pair. They kindly informed me that I actually own the older model (which, again to my surprise, they were right). BUT, given that they still came in below the claimed 3.5 hours, they were sending me a replacement pair. And furthermore, since the model I owned was technically now a lower-end model, they sent me the "current version" of the one I ordered, meaning I got a courtesy warranty-covered upgrade to the 5-hour model! Now that's some fantastic customer service. I've had horrible, copy-and-pasted-scripted-denial warranty-claim experiences with far more established headphone companies (Plantronics, Sony, and JBL), so to have a real human interact with me and kindly offer a replacement without hesitation was incredible.

I reiterate that your experiences may vary, but Anker has earned in me a customer for life.

I'm still having trouble believing that you can get a good pair of truly wireless headphones for this price. I bought these to replace a pair of aging over-ear Bluetooth headphones I've used in the gym for about 5 years now. As I'm primarily using them for the gym, the moisture resistance was key to me. I've used them for several months now without issue and bought my wife a pair as well. For reference my second set of wireless headphones is a Bose QC 35, which I use for office and quiet listening but wouldn’t dare take to the gym… A quick list of the pros and cons (a side note, the buttons on the sides give you simple navigation of music et cetera and I find these don’t fit as a pro or con; they work well and are intuitive, but you must press a little harder than I’d like):

    Pros:
-Amazing value (I don't see how they can make money at this price point). Please note that the remaining pros take the cost into account (as is only fair)
-Good sound quality - not excellent but beyond what I expected. The sound quality (especially the base) depends on having a good seal in your ear canal
-Excellent fit - They are small and light enough that you won't really notice them after a few minutes. The array of different size inserts allows them to fit perfectly in my larger-than-average ears and stay in during intense workouts.
-Good battery life - 3.5 hours is less than some more expensive pairs out there but I really haven't even gotten close to them dying, and I frequently use them to watch movies on plane rides in addition to extended workouts. The case battery means I only charge every week and a half or so. Note that if you want to go beyond this you always have the option of charging one side while using the other and swapping (see next bullet)
-Allows use of either side independently - Many (significantly) more expensive sets do not allow this. Note that you will need to set up the left side separately after doing the initial pairing. To do this, put the right bud in the charging case and turn on pairing mode in the left one by tapping the button three times. You will then see "Soundcore Liberty Neo Left" appear in your phone's Bluetooth list for pairing. Note that this introduces a new behavior in the headset: If you take out the left side first, it will pair, but the right side will stay disconnected (the daisy chain only works one way). If you take the right side out of the case first, both will connect. This means if you're using the left side and want to put the right side in, you'll need to take out the left side and put it back in the case first. Not a big deal for me but took a little bit to figure out. I think therefore they don't include this is the basic instructions.
-Has microphones for calls – This is very basic call functionality without any noise canceling, so it will only work if you can speak loudly in a quiet environment. This is more than I would have expected for the price point, and if I was really concerned about this I would have gone for Anker’s “q-tip” style buds as there’s an engineering limit to what you can do with sound so far from your mouth.
-Customer Service – If you are considering these you may already know about Anker’s legendary customer service, but here’s another anecdote for you. My first set exhibited a strange issue where the case stopped consistently recognizing the right earbud. They still worked fine but I couldn’t get the right one to charge most of the time. Joy with Anker customer service helped me do some basic troubleshooting and quickly sent me a brand-new pair. Simply perfect handling of the case.

Cons (I see this more as a wishlist because most of this is impractical to expect at this price point)
-Call quality isn’t great – again, the microphones only do a good job in a quiet environment when you can speak loudly, otherwise the other end won’t be able to understand you.
-Warm up period – I don’t know what else to call this, but I’ve had two pairs and they exhibit the same behavior. For the first week or so, they lose connection to one another sporadically and infrequently for short periods of time. Then this behavior goes away; I’m not sure what is going on, but it doesn’t bother me as it’s not persistent.
-Sound quality has room for improvement – This is almost unfair to write because, again, I think the sound quality is already way above the expectations you should have of this hardware at this price point. The sound is good, but the treble and high end tends to get lost at medium to high volumes
I’ll close by reiterating that these really are beyond what you can expect for the cost. If you’re not planning to spend upwards of $200 on a set of truly wireless headphones, I don’t think you can do any better than these

Update Nov 21 2020: not only are these still going strong but I accidently WASHED and DRIED one earbud with my workout clothes by accident and it still works.

    A great buy:
    - Excellent battery life - I used these on a multiday trek for several hours a day and they still had charge by the end
    - Decent sound quality (especially for the price) - they hold their own against my Sennheiser Momentum 3 costing 8 times the price
    - Durable - survived falling in a stream and accidentally getting stepped on when one fell out of my ear
    - The case with its battery level indicator is a neat way to store and charge them
    - Feels like a high quality product, as I've come to expect from Anker.
    Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound quality, far better than I initially expected from reading the Reviews

I bought this set of earbuds to replace a pair of cheap $20 Billboard bluetooth earbuds that lost sound in one ear after just a year or so of use. It took me a while to decide on the Liberty Neo because after my experience with the Billboard earbuds I was ready to move on to the more expensive brands like Jaybird, Beats or Bose because I didn’t want to buy a pair of buds that would fail on me again.

Anyways, I first heard about Anker after reading a review on Gizmodo and had their earlier model earbuds on my Amazon wishlist for a while but decided to put off my purchase and instead bought some cheap $20 bluetooth earbuds because I didn’t think it would be too different. Those cheap buds actually sounded pretty bad and like I said earlier, they failed after only a short time.

When I looked at the Anker buds I saved on my Amazon wishlist, I checked if they had anything new and was surprised to see that they actually have a pair of truly wireless earbuds. A bit pricier than their regular bluetooth buds so that made me hesitate. But after checking what else was out there, I found that the other brands were either way too expensive or were of questionable quality. So I came back to Anker. I really don’t feel like wearing a pair of $200 earbuds to the gym, so I decided to go with lower priced buds.

I’ve read the reviews on here and was concerned the most about the sound quality. Some reviews said that the volume was lacking and the bass was non-existent. But even if that were the case, I decided to go with the Liberty Neos anyways because even if the sound weren’t that great, I’d still be wire-free, which I thought was worth the extra $$ in itself. I was going to use these buds mainly for the gym and running and I hated that my previous bluetooth buds still had a wire slapping against my neck when I run even if it was considered “wireless.”

When I finally received the Liberty Neos, I was impressed by the packaging. Then I was even more impressed when I took the case out of the packaging because it actually looks a lot smaller than what I had seen in pictures and youtube videos that reviewed the product. The pairing was quick and simple. I put the earbuds on and was again surprised by the quality of the sound. It was waaay better than my previous cheap earbuds. It’s a crisp, well-balanced sound. I wouldn’t say the bass is weak or non-existent. But I wouldn’t say it’s a very deep bass either. For my preference, it was just right. I had to turn the volume up a little higher than I would normally turn my other previous earbuds but It’s still far from max volume. I actually got hooked on listening to music on these buds. It was very addictive. That’s how good they sound. On top of that, the case with the magnets made it easier to put the buds back into the case. Also, loved the fact that they turned on automatically when they are taken out of the case and they turn off when they are put back in. The attention to detail on the case was great as well. It snaps open and it has this rubber coating underneath that prevents it from sliding around on a flat surface.

Now for the one downside, which I don’t think is the fault of the earbuds themselves. I found that when I run, I hear a thudding sound on one ear. It was loud enough that it almost drowned out the music. I did some research online, and it turns out this has something to do with bone conduction or something like that. From what I read, when a hearing device forms a tight seal like that, it does result in this side effect and it’s common in all tight sealing earbuds, even the more expensive ones. I found that I can lessen the effect by replacing the tips with the smaller ones that was provided with the box and by putting on the fins that were included so that the seal isn’t so tight around my ears.

Anyways, despite that, I’m very happy with my purchase so far. In fact, I’m currently listening to music on my Liberty Neo’s as I type this. I’m currenty listening to “Busy Child” by Crystal Method and the bass is crazy. Hopefully, they last longer than my previous earbuds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buon rapporto QUALITÀ - PREZZO

Dopo più di 1 mese di utilizzo questo è cio che ho riscontrato

    PRO:
    - Ci mette abbastanza a scaricarsi e poco a caricarsi
