I've owned chromebook for 10 months now and I just love it! Here's some updates after using if for awhile:
1) Screen flickering: this is a problem but not long term. Also, if you just close the computer and reopen it, the screen will stop flickering.
2) Battery life: very long, and it only takes me about 35 minutes to get a full recharge. This hasn't been a problem for me!
What I don't like:
-Keyboard lighting: the keyboard is so easy to use and works well. But the blacklisting is not bright and the silver keys with white letters makes it difficult to see the letters...unless yours in a dark place 🤔
The keyboard is my biggest pet peeve but if yourve memorized your keys/placements you'll be fine. I just wish they had done black ink on the letters of thr keyboard so they were really clear and seen well.
Another pet peeve:
Chrome books are difficult to connect to printers. Most home printers are compatible with Apple or PC computers. My printer had a hard time connecting via wifi. It never quite worked. I'm going to get a different printer.
Everything else I love...Including the compatibility with Goole products, but even non Google apps or products connect well with it. It's such a user friendly operating system and runs so smoothly!
