I don't game, I use my system for image and video processing. I don't overclock. So far, the performance of this card has been great, far faster than my prior system.
Reviews have knocked it for using a box fan for cooling, but for my use, the card stays cool and the fan is quiet.
After under-volt getting an average of 100 w power draw, and 137 W peak power draw while gaming! This is incredible considering the performance is not far from 1080ti.
Don’t listen to reviews saying it runs hot and loud. They must have very poor airflow in the case. Card is very quiet under load, I never noticed it over my case fans. The max temp I’ve seen while gaming is 73C. Most of the time the card sits in the upper 60’s.
It's a little hot and loud but not enough to ruin it. Dont listen to the nvidia and intel fanboys, amd is catching up.

The software and drivers are not very good. Adding my Acer AL2221W was more tedious then I would have liked. After adding the Acer drivers I had to create a custom resolution profile. Then I was able to change the resolution in the Windows Display settings. Windows sometimes starts up without a picture on the displays. I have to power off the PC and try again to get the logon screen and desktop.
Ran Gears of War at 1440p ultra settings (ultra textures downloaded) at 90fps like a boss.
AMD software allows you to underclock or undervolt for better thermals.
Blower style cards are much noisier and hotter but as long as you have good airflow this card won't get that hot or loud.
Edit: Tried the latest driver in a last ditch attempt to save this, it crashed to blue screen in the middle of install. Pulled another star. It's already going back, just really wanted it to work. It might be a great card in another generation of drivers (or 3!!!!).
A lot of people will say to wait for aftermarket versions of these cards, and that might be good advice, but I haven't experienced the problems yet people claim to have with blower cards. Temperatures are well below danger limits according to msi afterburner so far. I'm not sure what the normal noise standard is, but I would definitely not call the fan on it noisy. But you can hear it, which is maybe why some people who want a silent system complain about reference cards.
Anyway, I am loving it so far. I can update this review if anything changes.

Can get noisy if manually set fan above 50%.
It does get decently warm hovering around 69-74°c max load.
Card does not have a back plate, which sucks.
Maximum overclock is 1850mhz because card is locked to prevent further performance.
Overall good card. Handles every game 1080p maximum settings well over 60fps
Would buy again.
