Great MB more features than you can likely use
I waited a while to write this review, well past the burn in period it sometimes takes for issues to develop. So far this MB has ran flawlessly, the unit came with more than enough mounts and screws for almost any arrangement you would need couple that with what came with the Tower 900 I put it in I did not need to make one trip the the store to pick up a crew or adapter to mount it. As you can see from my photo's I modified the case, and placed an acrylic sheet behind the MB and with the low profile on the bottom I was still able to clear enough space for some minor airflow. I would say that I wish it had more adapters to deal with the cables, I did have to go 3rd party to get some cable management, and had to custom make one cable because nothing was long enough to reach around the back go through one of the ports I made, however if I had not modified my case for this extremely clean look the case came with more than enough ports to do the job. I'm talking about the fan controller ports that also work as my water pump controllers. Could have used one more of them, and maybe a few more RGB ports. Once again I custom made some LED strips to run over the top and had to make an extremely long cable, but I won't hold those as faults those were my custom requirements. The UEFI was very neat and easy to understand, it's descriptions in the bios of the pro's and con's are very good considering the level of complexity they have to consider when writing those and different standards between manufacturing companies for other parts such as memory and controllers. The one con I would give this board, the error reporting system could leave something to be assessed, I made a very foolish and common mistake when putting everything together, one of my memory sticks was not seated fully. And the error code was not in the manual and ASUS support did not seem to know what that number was other than a post failure. When I couldn't find any answers I did what I should have done at the 1st and started a detailed check of all connections and found that one of the memory sticks had not been seated all the way. As common as a problem as that is you think the error code in the MB would have been listed/known. So - 5 stars for me, but still minus 1 star for ASUS here.Otherwise, this board is very good and if you're shooting for high end AMD CPU's is a very good option.Disclaimer "I am receiving points in the ROG Elite Rewards loyalty program for my review"
