Customers are dissatisfied with the size of the keyboard mouse set. They mention that the mouse pad can be a little small at times, the Turret is just too small to play many games comfortably, and the key space is considerably smaller than many out on the market. The Pros:
- It sits quite well on my lap. The foldable mouse pad is pretty sturdy, and the length is about right where it feels natural to type and use the mouse.
- The 2.4 Ghz connection is very responsive. I don't notice any lag when moving the mouse around.
- Sensitivity levels: the buttons on the right side change the sensitivity of the mouse so you don't run into issues with the max mouse speed being too slow.
- Battery life is great, and the charger looks cool.
- Typing on the keyboard feels responsive. The keys are short, but they are not the membrane-type keys that you see with other low profile keyboards. They actually feel like real keys.
The Cons:
- A lot of the useful functionality (changing sensitivity, etc) requires the Razer software to be installed. Doing so also requires you to create an account with Razer. I can see this being annoying for some people. As an aside, I had huge problems downloading the software from Razer's website, but it turned out to be due to a bug in Chrome for Windows 10 (definitely not Razer's fault). If you have this problem, try Firefox or Edge.
- It's been mentioned, but it would be nice if the keys were back-lit. Playing games with the lights turned down, it can get a little tricky to see the keys. I knew about this ahead of time though, so I wasn't surprised.
- The mouse pad can be a little small some times. The left-to-right real estate is fine, but the up-and-down distance is fairly limited. It takes some getting used to.
- It is on the high side as far as price. There's not much competition for this exact solution, so it's not surprising.
Other Thoughts:
- There is supposedly a magnet in the mouse to keep it from falling off the mousepad. I guess you can sort of feel a little bit of pull? If there is a magnet in there, it's not very strong. In any event, it hasn't been an issue one way or the other.
- The keyboard does turn itself off after a certain amount of time, in order to preserver battery life. For me, this is probably a good thing. If I had to manually turn off the keyboard, that battery would be dead in a day. Turning it back on is a simple matter of pressing a button on the side. It's not the end of he world.
- Didn't try the Bluetooth connection, and based on the reviews I will not. I use a Bluetooth mouse on my laptop and it is the worst mouse I have ever used.
Conclusion: I bought this because as of right now it is the only product that does exactly what I want, which is allowing me to use a wireless keyboard and mouse on my couch without involving any kind of lap desk or other contraption. I was pleasantly surprised that it performs well and I would recommend it to others looking to accomplish the same thing.
Random other notes:
-Keys are NOT lit. But I totally understand they were fighting for battery life and such.
-The slight magnetic mouse is great. The mouse doesn't slide off easily and it does not feel awkward when lifting and moving. The 'stick' is VERY light, so don't expect it to stay in place after 45 degrees.
-Battery life is fantastic. Charged it once and I'm seeing when it finally dies. 4 days later it still hasn't.
-Bluetooth mode is significantly more delayed on your input. Use the dongle.
-(IMO) Buy a tiny attachable reading light to turret for optional lighting for late-night action.
-Keyboard feels great when typing, mouse is incredibly light. For me, that works, for other's it may not.
Conclusion?
-In my honest opinion, this product is a little overpriced. Although I enjoy it and I think it works great for my setup, I still don't see how this is worth $150. Getting a 'floor desk stand' thing with a combo of your choice might work just as well if not better.
The main problems are, most frustrating first:
- Bad mouse latency makes it unusable for fast-paced games. The latency is even noticeable when just on the Windows desktop.
- The keyboard turns off after a maximum of 15 minutes. You can't increase this and there is also no indication on the keyboard of whether it's on or off.
- The arrow keys are too small and in a awkward place.
- I missed the delete/insert/home/end/page up/page down keys more than I thought I would.
- The mouse pad is too small.

Some things that it doesn't have, which will hopefully be included in the nextgen are:
- lighting on keyboard (hard to function in the hard)
- removable mousepad (to move it for left handed people or just preference if you only need a mouse pad and mouse)
- mouse choices wold be a plus
