All of the other connections work fine. I did have an issue with a power surge through the USB when plugging in a portable hard drive, which is more of a fault of the computer not having enough bus power to drive all the peripherals that were connected (which also included a bus powered audio interface). To solve this, I plugged the power adapter for the laptop in through the PD slot on the dongle, which then provided it's own bus-power to all attached peripherals without having to draw from the laptop. This is nice because it allows my audio interface to remain powered on even when disconnecting the laptop from the dongle (if the interface powers off there is an audible pop on the speakers).
Last thing I'll mention is that when I used Dell's original 45W power adapter through the PD slot, my laptop warned me it was charging slowly so I do not think the dongle is passing 100% power through to the laptop (even before connecting USB peripherals). That was solved by using a higher wattage power adapter (60W) and that warning went away. I hope this review was helpful in terms of how I am using this device!
ORIGINAL REVIEW: If you're looking for a simple USB Powered Docking Station for merely easier access, then this is it. I have two set-ups at my Desktop. One for my wife's work laptop, then my desktop. I bought the Kensington Thunderbolt 3 for a sleek work-from-home set-up. But that meant moving my Desktop in a harder to reach area. Plugging in a USB became painful, so my search for an inexpensive Powered Docking Station led to me the Lasuney.
To reiterate, my needs were for a simple docking station for easier access to high powered USB ports. So my review is missing key components for people who really want a review on display ports options (sorry).
I have the Lasuney plugged in via USB-C 3.2 via Andnova, to the USB-C port on the back of my desktop. Speeds seem to be fine when plugging in my Nikon Z5 and transferring files. I see no loss of transfer data vs directly plugging it into my desktop. The ports in front make it really easy for me to access, so if I'm opening Epic or Steam, I can easily plug in my PS5 controller and headphones. No loss or lag there either. The device is sleek, small and easy to use.
The only downfall is once in a while I'll get a "USB Device Not Recognized". I believe it happens when I put my PC into hibernation. The quick solution for me is to just disconnect the main USB-C connection and reconnect. No issues past that. In the image, it's the port on the left side. Also note, in the image you'll see Lasuney on top of the Kingsington Thunderbolt 3. It's much smaller. As for any firmware or software to download, there is none. It's plug and go. You won't be able to search for one either.
As mentioned before, for my simple powered USB needs, it's perfect. If you're looking to actually use it as a docking station with monitors, I can't speak to that.

Another very important and often overlooked part is the PD charger. It must be 100w minimum, and preferably higher. Keep in mind the laptop will take half or more of the juice, then make sure you have enough room for your video and peripheral devices. Recommendation could be the 120W USB C Charger, oraimo GaN Charger.

As for the cable, throw it out and get a USB 4 40Gbps cable. Out of the box, this was only able to handle 120hz 1080p, 60hz 1440p, or 60hz 4K. I changed the cable and now I'm getting 240hz 1080p, 120hz 1440p, and still 60hz 4K.
Having a much higher bandwidth cable for this thing really opens up the possibilities for it and puts this into a similar field as Caldigit docks, which are 6 times the price.
Highly recommend this thing, but remove the internal weight and glue down a bigger one, and use a better quality 40gbps cable

Too late for me to return it because the return window closed, so I'm stuck with this $100 piece of junk that has zero functions.
My original review is bellow. But I've used this device for about a year now, and plan to continue using it going forward. So much that I bought a second one.
But it's not because this was the best option available. In my opinion there are better devices on the market, especially for the $100 it sells for. Since you will need to buy a 100w USB-C Power Brick, and good quality USB-C cables, to both power it (not included), and to connect it to your devices, as the included cable are not to the spec the device is rated for.
So for $100 it's not worth it for the additional equipment missing, But when I bought my second one, it was on sale for $50. And for $50 I genuinely cannot complain, since you can easily budget a good charger and cables with the savings. It works with my Intel Laptop, my Surface Go and my iPad Pro. It charges my devices and acts as a USB and display hub, and is so useful for desktop setups that need to be portable.
But this is true for any USB-C Hub. What benefits I found with this one specifically is the USB-C PD input, rather than a proprietary connector, making it last longer on paper.
Which is why my opinion changes. For $100, I can't easily recommend it, ports are all over the place and it isn't the easiest to setup, plus the cable is bad, but for $50 it's perfect for anyone who needs it. Especially since it gives you $50 to spend on a good DC Charger for it.
---Original Review---
I got this device as a hub to connect my devices to my main TV, so just using the HDMI and USB ports at this time.
My original plan was to use a 6ft USB C to C cable to connect my devices to it, it didn't work as I hoped. While my devices did charge and output a video signal, the video screen would cut out every once and a while. I changed my cable to a 1.5m USB C to C cable which came with my monitor and that worked fine.
I also think the power supply wattage was an issue too. While the device is rated for 100w, it did work with 65w, however the screen did flicker. I think it would've been fine on 65W and I'll be testing for that again.
My issues with this device has very little to do with the device itself, but the confusing nature of USB Type C cables. However this device and it's seller is responsible for not having it's included manuals contained more useful information and it's design spec, rather than vague "trouble shooting" steps. Exact cable lengths and power specifications would've been really helpful with my needs.
I will rate this higher once I do some more testing to ensure it's functionality.
All ports work great.
