Pros:Good soundLoudCompact satellite speaker designLook good and cleanCables are quality and feel sturdy (save for one...see cons)Cons:the speaker that does not have a control knob has a short (~4.5ft/140cm) RCA cable. Which would not be a problem if it had a port that you could switch the cable out for a longer one. However this is hardwired into the speaker and uses a 2 wire unshielded wire to an RCA adaptor. The other speaker (volume control) has a thick cable (probably around the same length), and a 13pin connector that goes to the sub-woofer and I would not feel bad using an extension on that cable as it seems much higher quality. This might not be a huge deal to some. I just wish the cabling quality was high throughout instead of one speaker seeming to cheap out suddenly and not being able to just plug in a better cable for that speaker.I would gladly pay $5 more for the ability switch out cables.

I bought a cheap sound bar for my desktop PC and the sound was horrible. I returned it, went on line and read some recommendations for a good budget PC sound system. I came across this 2.1 speaker setup and at only $65 they sound amazing. The sub-woofer adds the depth and bass that really makes you feel the music. They are good build quality and look great with my gaming (home built) PC. I love them!

"Scott" did a review of March 23. He is more informed on tech than I am. Our right speaker up and died. If I could replace the thin cord the company permanently attached, maybe I would still have $80 in usable speakers. I purchased March 6, now May 12, and unable to return. These were "lightly" used. Never moved or bothered in any way after being installed.

Let me preface this by saying there is no reason to purchase "gaming speakers". These are like any other 2.1 system except they have the word "game" printed on them. If you are considering these speakers for games, Logitech makes reactive lighting speakers for gaming that are at least interesting. But aside from the lighting affect of those Logitech speakers, "gaming speakers" perform exactly the same as any duel speaker setup.

I bought these as a cheap set of speakers for my dorm. Even when I expected them to be bad, they were disappointing. There is a subwoofer, but it caused only caused problems. The speakers could not differentiate bass out of the subwoofer from bass out of satellites, so if you played a song with too much bass your sound became distorted and quiet. The speakers out of the box were as good as you should expect from a $50 2.1 system. They are fairly loud and if your base is turned down the speaker quality is pretty good. They are not audiophile good, but that's not what people would buy these for. However, if you buy this system with the expectation that the subwoofer will work properly then you will be very disappointed in the sound quality.

The other big issue with these speakers is the software that controls the sound. It is a hassle to install, and once installed doesnt even let you customize your sound profile. There are preset settings that all say the bass is off, even though it isn't, and the presets are awful. If you buy these speakers download an open source equalizer and customize it yourself.

I regret purchasing this system. I would strongly recommend a pair of powered speakers at the same price range as opposed to a 2.1 system. You will most likely receive better sound quality and potentially better bass from them. I would never recommend these because there are simply better options.

I can now hear my music throughout my home, and put the speakers into a window to play out into the backyard when I'm having a fire at night. I'm so happy to have indulged myself with speakers, I've just used the computer and phone for everything for far too long....

I live in an apartment with thin walls and floors. I bought this so I could watch a movie without hearing my neighbors. It works a lot better for that compared to my previous cheaper speakers. Unfortunately, the sound is a bit hollow. It's not terrible, but not great.

The other reviews made it seem like the software for the speakers would improve on the audio quality. Unfortunately, the software is incompatible with my sound card. I found this out through dealing with customer service, and it took entirely too many emails back and forth for them to give me a straight answer. A

lso, the speakers sometimes turn off at random. I was told by customer service that the way to avoid this was to turn up the volume on my computer to 100% and then only use the actual speaker dials to control the volume. So far, this has solved the problem, but it is extremely annoying that I have to control the volume this way. Turning the knob just a tiny bit changes the volume from very low to very high.
