I've had this computer for a few months now and so far it's worked really well for my needs as a student and a business owner. The only things I wish it had are a USB port and a port for a camera memory card, because I often use a tablet or a memory card with my computer. I ended up buying a USB hub for this computer. Other than that, I think this computer will last me a while. So far so good!

Worst laptop I’ve ever owned. I’ve had about 15 laptops over the last 32 years, and this one has had more hardware problems than the other 14 combined. Besides the spectacularly bad keyboard (which at least Apple replaced for free), the screen, SSD and battery have failed, on my dime, so far at $1200. This laptop has not been dropped, damaged or spilled on. The “genius” bar staff shrug their shoulders and say “too bad”. Only hope some engineers or cost accountants lost their jobs over this product.

The MacBook was just as described. Brand new in the box. The discounted price and the ability to get this Mac tax free saved me a bunch of money. What a great seller!

Because of giving on type C usb ports this laptop is useless if you want to use it in office with a monitor or two. I have tried 3 different docks including Apple's and none seem to work flawlessly. Extremely undercooked release by Apple this time.

Pro's
1. The Screen Wow!, colors pop, easy to read/edit documents
2. Sound, speakers are excellent
3. USB C ensured transfer of data from the old MBA to the new MBP in under 45 mins (196 GB's transferred)
4. Battery life is excellent i.e. 12+ hours (this is for my workflow i.e. Editing/Writing documents, Project Management SW, Pixelmator, Surfing the Web with Safari and Chrome, NO Video, Audio playing in the background off the HDD, minimal iCloud data transfer)

Con's
1. Screen is a fingerprint magnet
2. Dark Gray color picks up dust

Keep in Mind:
1. Make sure you take into account the initial setup i.e. Spotlight Index, Rebuilding Outlook/Mail DB, Indexing/Upgrading Photos etc), once you get that work done on power supply you will not take a hit on Battery life
2. Ensure you read up on ideal Systems settings off various sites, will make the transition easier
3. New Keyboard takes some getting used to, but not really a showstopper
4. There are just 2 USB C ports, then again I use an external device connected to my Laptop maybe 2-4 times a month, so not really a deal breaker
5. I am jumping from a 2013 MBA, so there is a significant jump in capability from the MBA to the MBP
6. This MBP is smaller AND lighter than my old MBA, I am loving that

I've always been a PC owner (my grandpa was vehemently opposed to anything apple) however in my last year of medical school, once again my PC broke (HP laptop was just god awful in every way). Anyway then my sister gave me her 2010 MacBook Air -- when I got it it was 5 years old. This laptop far exceeded anything I've ever used from PC. After 6.5 years of incredible use this 2010 MacBook Air finally bit the dust. I got the new MacBook Pro 2016 (without touch bar) and it is flawless, light, thin, the screen is absolutely incredible, the battery lasts for what seems to be infinity. It runs so smoothly I've never heard the onboard cooling fans even turn on even after trying to exceed the processing power. personally the touch bar is not worth the 300$ and I can't imagine buying the old MacBook Pro now that this new one is so much smaller / lighter, better, and the screen has more color and is brighter. I am very happy. It is damn expensive though.

I love it. Was $250 off the day I got it. Only paid $1250 before tax. Only issue is the 2 ports. Has no HDMI ports. Apple said they know they messed up but still don't take away from the quality in my opinion if you need more ports you might need $10-$20 for the attachments but I don't need it. I only use it as a laptop people get upset because they can't put 10 wires in it and hook it up to a big screen TV and what not. but the quality of Apple is the reason I spent more money to buy a Mac and I don't plan on getting another one for five years or so
