I bought it with intensions of being able to enjoy games with friends while on the road working, and it will be able to do this no problem.
The warnings, if you have looked anything up, are true. The laptop gets VERY hot. According to it's monitoring software that comes on the system (Nitro Sense) the CPU hits 92° celsius while under extreme load NOT on a cooling fan bed.
On the bed after 12 hours consecutive playing it stayed steady at about 81°. It is quite a powerfully machine for the thickness and cooling system they have implemented though. All I can say is DONT let this get dirty and clog up. You WILL have problems. If you listen to this rule I believe you will be perfectly fine.
One last night I tried undervolting but the main board would have to be flashed with an earlier version to allow this. The current firmware as is does not support undervolting out of the box for the i7-9XXX.
