My previous adapter (Trendnet brand) failed after only 12 months of service. Unable to confirm, but I suspect the heat inside of the exterior electrical box hastened its failure.
For those who live in older homes (or apartments), and aggravated by exposed Ethernet cables, this is the product for you! Plug ‘N Play, baby! To get started, you need two modules. Simply connect the first module to your modem and plug it into a wall socket. Then go to another room, plug the second module into the socket (near the desired TV, computer, etc.) and connect that module to the desired device (with the included Ethernet cable), pair the two modules and you’re all set. Your copper house wiring will transmit the internet from the first module to the second. VERY IMPORTANT: the first module must be plugged in a WALL SOCKET (NOT a power strip). Mine worked straightaway. You can connect other components to the internet with additional modules. I’d recommend this product to anyone.
