Works like a charm on Note 9 Exynos
I've purchased this item blindly actually not reading enough if its compatible with a non-snapdragon edition Note 9. To my surprise it indeed work albeit with a few quirks. For one, audio is not working which is a bummer. I've tried a bunch of configs but to no avail. 2, the trackpad is not great especially using the gestures. A separate wireless mouse is a must since the trackpad button ain't working on my device. Also, there are times when the trackpad is not detected which prompts me to disconnect and reconnect the phone and also not all apps are dex supported especially netflix. Lastly, the dock is quite freakin heavy for its size, I mean, there's not even a proper laptop component inside except for the large battery and other wireless thingy but come on, why does it have to be so heavy? But with all that, the dock is great. I mean, it wasn't really intended for the Note 9 so its not the dock's fault that its not working as intended with a third party phone. I mean beggars can't be choosers at this point and I get to use my phone as a laptop which is a great bonus on my part. And I did get it for $124 so it really is quite a bargain. Hopefully on the next samsung dex iterations, it will have a much better compatibility with this dock. With that said, I'll probably have to stay to using Samsung phones for a long time knowing that I bought this device. I just wish there was a way to have a custom skin for this as well as a way to trigger dex wirelessly.
