Back in the mid-1990s, our founder Bill Whyte worked as a carpenter. He worked hard, and so did his hands. They would often split and crack in the frigid New England winters. One night, seeking a soothing solution, he mixed up some beeswax and olive oil to create a simple herbal balm. This oil is amazing! I wasn't sure how well it would work for my skin when I first bought it, but now I'm in love. My skin has gotten super sensitive in the past year, due in part to me trying everything possible to clear up my acne. I have tried other oils and serums and none of them blew me away. I don't like the greasy look or the strong smells. After trying some harsher treatments caused my acne to get worse instead of better, I decided I just wanted to pamper my skin for awhile with nothing but natural and calming products. I've heard rose is good for the skin and saw this and wanted to test it out.
It has a very nice rose scent to it that I find relaxing. I was surprised how little you need to cover your entire face. I usually put one drop on each cheek and one on my forehead. You can tell it doesn't just sit on your skin but actually sinks down to condition it. After a few minutes your skin doesn't have the gross greasy look, but you can tell you have a very dewy sheen. I prefer to use this product only at night and sometimes days when it's very cold and harsh outside and I need extra protection for my face. After I've cleaned my face and used a toner I will put this on in place of a moisturizer or serum. I let it sit at night and in the morning my skin looks like its been completely remade! The first time I used it I thought it was a fluke so I went a week using only this product as a moisturizer. It has helped clear up my acne and made the redness in my face less noticeable. Even my pores seem smaller. I can tell my skin just likes it. I will definitely be using this in my skincare routine from now on.

The color of this is startlingly orange. Comes in a very small squirt bottle, dispenses enough for one-day's use. I put it on as soon as I wash my face in the morning, and it immediately absorbs, leaving no stickiness, no weird orange coloring, a perfect moisturizer. It's all that's needed, or if desired, throughout the day, or you can add to it whatever other "facial routine" you like -- add another cream, foundation, whatever. The bottle is very small and I'm wondering how long it will last. I write the date I start using a cosmetic on the small box it comes in -- this first bottle has lasted 45 days so far. Will definitely re-order.
