So probably my first in depth review but I had to because I was just so damn impressed with the quality and condition of this Used- good motherboard it came with everything I remember and looks too good to be true apart from some slight liquid marks it but looks pretty much unscathed I’m not too worried about the marks I can easily get them off safely without damaging anything but I gotta say I was expecting this thing to look as if it survived hurricane Katrina with so many scratches it would be impossible to see any logos but I’m happy to say that’s not the case I can proudly say I’m not afraid of the disappointment of used products. I’ll keep this post updated once I test it on the bench

Audio quits for no reason

I'm using a i9-10850K which is a previous generation CPU so only two of the M.2 slots (slots 2 and 3) worked for me.

The SPDIF audio works for a while and turns to static for an unknown reason.

My last ASUS X470 motherboard failed in under 2 years and am experiencing problems with the Z590E immediately. I don't recommend this product and my experience with ASUS Support for a warranty repair was awful.

I really like this board, but you should know that these are "Amazon Warehouse" items and it's a crap shoot on whether or not you get a good one.

I didn't know this until I received the second one. The first one I got was VERY used and wouldn't POST, giving missing RAM errors. After going through ASUS tech support for a couple of times, they agreed I should send it back. I returned it and got a refund (no exchanges on this) and bought another one. It arrived with ZERO case candy -- an antenna, a manual, and a CD-ROM. That's all. The previous one had everything in it, but I retuned all of it with the board. C'est la vie.

This 2nd board has had no issues and was factory sealed (I hope) with an ASUS sticker. BUT, there's a big label on one side of the box with a bar code, full item name, and "New Item" that is definitely not from ASUS.

I got mine over Black Friday / Cyber Monday and bought it thinking it was a brand new item and that it was on sale. There's a reason these are listed at this price and not the manufacturer's price on their site, as well as all other electronics dealers like that place that rhymes with Newt Gregg.

The board (so far) is great and I have ZERO complaints about it which is why I gave it 5 stars, but I do think Amazon needs to be clearer in their listings.

This Motherboard is really awesome for sure! My original Motherboard that I am upgrading from is an MATX, so you can see the size comparison. I know for new builders that can help, an ATX Motherboard is noticeably larger for sure! I received my Motherboard early and was really excited to dabble around with the major upgrade. My original MATX has a locked bios for commercial use, so I was unable to adjust fan speeds or utilize the XMP for my Ram, which was throttle at 2666! My graphics card couldn't be adjusted and my CPU was at a halt as well. This ATX Motherboard solved every single issue I had and plus. Asus Bios was really easy to navigate and make additional adjustments like I needed, only had to YouTube one thing which was how to gety bios to read my SSD for my Windows instead of having to do the whole USB thing or call. Luckily I figured it out in less than 10min and didn't have repurchase Windows, it even allowed me to transfer my windows key over to the new Motherboard. I don't really know what else to say about it other than the lights are cool and it has plenty of Gen 2 headers for RGB if that's your thing! Everything advertised was on the Motherboard, after I went down my checklist making sure! I would highly recommend this Motherboard looking for a solid upgrade.

Had issues with installing network driver's since my version of Windows 10 installer was older. Their first and second tier tech support was USELESS.

The issue was that their installers use a .NET package that wasn't installed on my older installer. Creating a chicken and egg problem, needing to update Windows to install the drivers, which were required for wired or wireless connection. When running their network driver installers, they would just immediately exist to Windows instead of doing anything or give ANY meaningful error or feadback.

This was too much for the "tech" support to comprehend. They kept saying I should return the obviously defective motherboard. Some actual answer would be: download an offline .NET installer, or download a newer version of Windows 10 installer (free from Microsoft) and burn it into a USB stick.

Once I did that, everything has worked BEAUTIFULLY! Fantastic motherboard! Typically useless tech support that starts overseas with the immediate answer being "return to Amazon!"

I gave it a 4 star because on board video doesn't work with display port(everything is up to date as well) when you switching video cards. (I have a 10th gen VGA intel chip as well and bios is up to date) the mobo has display port on it, but when you want to remove a video card like a different brand and you want to go to another, when you use the onboard display port it gives you issues, and you will get the WHITE LED when it can't connect, so you have to use the HDMI over display port for some reason.

This mobo is PACKED with features. It is old now, so leaving this review seems pointless but for the price it is going for, I think it is a fine mobo to get when it was $350 when I purchased it two years ago.

The bios is pretty cluttered and things are hidden everywhere, it takes quite a bit of time to navigate through but it's nice and finding Re-barr was a little more work than it should have been. Either way, fantastic mobo, I haven't OC'd anything on it, I think my OC days are over, I feel now a days it's not worth the additional strain on your components for the 5 to maybe 15% performance you get even under water cooling.

I wish it had PCI 5.0 for the new m2's but other than that 4.0 2 years ago was king. I really like this mobo and haven't had more than one issue with it.

I wish Armoury Crate was a little better in a few areas but it is getting there. The crate used to be a mess and but they update it a lot and it is getting better each and every update. The fan headers oranzation is still a bit weird and doesn't include a header for a 12v for your water pump and only a 5v which I find silly as it is more or less a OC/gaming type mobo that should have a 12v header for your pump. It is nice to have as 12v header so you can turn your pump down via armoury crate but it is a just a DC5 pump that is stilling on 3, so it shouldn't be giving issues. I have plenty of headroom when running this setup with the best EKWB and hardware labs water cooling.

I run a couple of Socket 1200 laptops and I like to test and "bin" processors for it looking for the coolest running specimens (along with just liking to keep a Z590 system around) so I picked up one of these open box for ~$100USD.

It arrived in new condition with all accessories.

It installed and works great currently running a golden 10900k delidded CPU chugging along at 5.4ghz all core on an EVGA CLC 360mm AIO.

I especially love the darker tones and extended lighting on three different areas of the motherboard.

It goes without saying that Asus BIOS is one of the best around especially for overclockers and enthusiasts.

everything about this one is great, it looks fantastic with the rgb zones and the rog aesthetics.

keep in mind that if you'll use it with a stock cooler, you should consider disable the "always keep the cpu boosted" setting in bios since it makes the cpu run very hot (my i5 11400f was at 90-95 while gaming)

Great Motherboard, very solid, well built, lots of features, has 1 click AI overclocking which is better than me doing it manually, 2 M.2 4.0 slots and 2 3x4 slots. Able to set XMP at my rated frequency of 4800mHz.
This is an old Rev. comes with original BIOS, you will have to flash the BIOS, I flashed before I installed windows, actually I flashed and re-formatted and everything worked out great. You'll have to back up some things in Windows if you flash without reformatting, just beware. Overall I'm happy with this purchase, not happy with Amazon though or USPS, worst tracking system out there, like you order is in limbo for days, I have another order I returned to Amazon as soon as I got it I was so unsatisfied with poor service. Amazon dump USPS and fix your logistics you suck!
