Overclocking Not Bad, Looks Good, USB-C
I was looking to build a new PC and did not want to break the bank by purchasing a ROG motherboard. I have owned five other ASUS motherboards (other brands as well) and really appreciate the care, support, and effort ASUS puts into their motherboard lineup. I settled on this because of the price is right and it possesses all the necessary features I was looking for.The motherboard itself has a nice layout. With all of my peripherals and cables attached, nothing feels overly crowded. I really like the fact that the headers for the majority of attachments are placed on the perimeter of the board. Yes, a few are in the middle, but with a board this size with as many connections as it provides, that is unavoidable. The back panel is laid out very nicely. I use a lot of peripherals (see attached images). My computer case is an In-Win D-Frame. The wires stick out at an odd angle because the back panel of the motherboard faces upward (see attached images). Since the layout of the back panel is laid out nicely, directing the wires and cables around the chassis proves no problem. Some additional things I like about this board: - USB-C connections. Many of my devices are only USB-C, so nice touch - Comes with 2 heatsinks for M.2 drives (I have 2 Samsung 970 EVO Plus) - Has three 3-pin aRGB headers on the perimeter of the board, not in the middle - Plenty of fan headers (though, I use an iCue Commander Pro) - No LAN issues (Ubiquiti equipment and CAT6a cabling in my home) and high transfer rates - Overclocking the CPU (i7-10700k) was flawless, no issues (see attached image from CPU-Z)I would have liked to see a M.2-e slot on this board. This would have allowed the installation of a M.2 WiFi card. I knew this board did not possess one, so this is not a big deal and resulted in no lost stars for the rating. Yet, the Prime Z590M-Plus comes with one, so putting a M.2-e slot on the Prime Z590-A should not have been difficult. One issue that frustrated me is overclocking my RAM. In the beginning, I decided to use two Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 4000 (PC4-3200) C16 1.35V modules. Originally, I installed them in slots 1 and 3, resulting in no overclock. I even attempted manually adjusting timings and voltages in the BIOS, resulting in no overclock. Granted, this RAM is not on the qualified vendor list, but similar types from Corsair are. I bought two other types of Corsair RAM on the qualified vendor list, still resulting in no overclock.I finally placed the RAM (the original ones I purchased) in the motherboard memory slots 2 and 4. Like magic, overclocking finally was working. I am not sure if this is intentional for this board or a defect, but others should be aware of this. I returned the slower RAM and kept the original, faster pair. This experience for me resulted in a reduction of 1 star.Despite that, overclocking of the RAM and CPU have been stable for over a month. I have run several stress tests during that time in order to improve the CPU overclocking. This has resulted in a slight bump. Right now, the CPU consistently hovers around 4.9 Ghz, though this may be more of a reflection of the CPU cooler I am using rather than the combination of hardware. If I had better cooling, I might be able to push that frequency a wee-bit higher.Overall, I am satisfied with this motherboard. I love gaming with 144Hz refresh rates at 1080p and this machine performs well. I also do a lot of video editing (Adobe Premier Pro) for work and performance is also excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great versatile motherboard, Asus delivers again with another great motherboard
Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2023
Supports 10th and 11th generation intel CPUs. Great for gaming and has 3 argb inputs thus you can light this up as much as you want and then use Armory Crate from Asus to customize the lights to your liking. This motherboard has plenty of options.

Overall a great motherboard and great for gaming. I use an NVIDIA RTX 3700 OC V2 Asus TUF graphics card this can play the latest games on high settings. Plenty of options for storage with 3 total nvme slots. Put 3200 DDR4 memory, a 11th gen intel cpu and use nvme for your storage and you will not be disappointed. Blazing fast, I boot up from cold start in about 11 seconds. I recommending adding a wifi 6E/bluetooth card, this way you can easily connect to fast wifi and use bluetooth devices/accessories.

Pros:
-Supports overclocking
-DD4 3200 for Memory
-Supports 11th gen intel CPU
-Supports all the latest graphics cards, Nvidia RTX 30 series, Nvidia RTX 40 series, Radeon RX 6000+ series
-Lots of options for storage NVME, SATA, I recommend NVME or SSD if you want fast boot times and fast game loading times
-Windows 11 supported
-PCIE 4.0
-ATX size

Cons:
-Had one issue with waking up from sleep mode but because I use KVM to share keyboard and mouse between computers, I turned off sleep mode

5.0 out of 5 stars Great deal from Amazon Warehouse
Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2022
I needed another Asus Z590 motherboard with AI and SP detection (CPU quality) and as luck would have it a used model popped up on Amazon.

Description said motherboard only repacked in another box and that is exactly what I received. Inside was just the motherboard wrapped in bubble wrap in a brown box.

The motherboard itself looked almost new but the M.2 thermal pads showed sign of use so I knew it was used.

Hooked it up and it works just fine. The CPU socket had a nice little cover over the socket directly (not the retention cage) for extra protection.

I've used plenty of Asus boards over the years and I do have to say the look and lighting on this one might be my favorite so far. Something is very aesthetically pleasing with it.

Best of all, the price was less than half of one new!

Bought this bored after RMAing a gigabyte Auros elite. I’ve always used ASUS but the price was right so I figured I’d give gigabyte a shot, mistake. That board was a hassle the whole 3 days I had it. When this board arrived I popped it in and it booted up perfect, all drivers installed flawlessly. The lighting looks great the board itself is slick. It’s got great features, pretty much everything you can think of beside a debug screen.
Highly recommend this board.
